Alright. Userbar update. Made a bunch of them. Taking requests, if anyone is interested. Not likely to do more on my own unless specifically requested.

*insert all your banners*

Enjoy.

If you're going to make for scandinavian countries, make one for Norway, Sweden and Denmark, we're not just one big country, least of all with the flag you used. Tsk.

You don't recognize that flag? Because if you don't, you're now allowed to use it. :P

How does it feel, Bioware? Are you proud? How does it feel, to be violated, raped, tied down and abused? You're enjoying this, aren't you, you dirty, dirty harlot? Yes you are.

Are you serious? This is disgusting.

I can understand being upset. I personally think this whole bazaar is a terrible idea and a failure, but this kind of language is just ridiculous and wrong. Rape and torture is nothing like business dealings between companies and the like.

That being said, I don't care for the bazaar at all. Not that I can participate anyway, since I am a New Yorker. I don't understand how EA/Bioware didn't realize this'd blow up right in their faces, especially with the countdown.

I do recognize it, but it's invalid in present time.. Not that I really do care that much, I still see myself as a BioWare community member, just not one that EA/Sponsors will allow to participate in the competition.

It's going to be your countries own laws regarding such competitions as this that exclude it, not some jerk sitting at a desk in EA/BioWare who decided they only like 48 of the 50 states of the USA

Because EA doesn't actually commune with gamers that much. Least of all their Ministerium of Sales and Propaganda.

Yes, but it is still sloppy to just leave it like that without some workaround.

That would actually be incorrect Cat :) The only logistical issue is import fee's for items (which bioware could say is your problem)...

This is corporate BS....by the best in the business...EA.

Why announce it as an epic community event, and not an epic US-community event then?  I don't think anyone's suggesting Bioware has some sort of evil plan to exclude everyone else, just why the hush hush combined with the hype?

Is it really too much to think that they probably expected it, and did it anyway. Because, you know, the contest is still awesome, even if there's a lot of folks that are mad about it.

Sadly, I wouldn't know who to blame, USA, Norway, or just the messed up International trading laws. It is disappointing that I cannot participate, without question. Though, I know it's not only the countries, companies need to agree to do marketing/dealings outside of their tied country/nations, some don't, and thus they are bound, unless they fix it.

But it's so sad to see people bashing on BioWare for it, especially when they're not to blame. I understand the frustration, especially with the whole "Epic" countdown timer.

Because it's not an Epic US-community event. New York and Florida are excluded too.

Correct term would be: "An Epic US -exclude, New York and Florida- BioWare community event."

Pfah. The flag of our great and unified state will never be invalid. ^_^

That said, it's not so much what you yourself consider yourself, but what Bioware considers you. If this was an "epic community event" for the people of the community, what does that make you? Or me? Or the vast majority of this blue spaceball?

Not community members, that's for sure.

The only Epic part of this event seems to be its ability to split the community harder than anything has managed to do up to date. The changes to ME 2, the Awakening decisions, and RTO are nothing compared to what this is generating.

The event is certainly Epic... but not for the reasons that it is supposed to be. It is turning into a Anti-USA (though it wasn't our choice), Anti-BioWare, and Anti-Community free for all.

What really gets me here is how mad people are getting at the whole "community" part when really the whole thing itself is just a marketing gimmick thats attempting to turn registered BioWare game users into viral marketeers for EA.

I mean I'm eligible and I don't give a flying fluck about this. Its just some EA marketing shark's brilliant idea to turn mindless BW fans into adbots on various social networks, for EA products in exchange for a CHANCE at winning stuff we can already BUY in about 80% of cases.

Its basically just marketing, and anyone mad about not being included in it is...might as well tattoo "CONSUMER WH*RE" on their foreheads and be done with it.

This whole deal is stupid, to be angry about not being allowed to participate is like being angry that you weren't chosen at the mall to take part in a "survey" that pays you 15 bucks if you go to several various stores in the mall and buy the equivalent of about 25 dollars worth of product from the stores to "evaluate" for the survey.

Its shark marketing, its EA making BW look like the biggest marketing wh*re in the gaming industry and frankly I'm disgusted with it.

BioWare can stand on its own two feet on the quality of their products alone. This crap is just crap.

What you need signature wise is one that says "I USED  TO BE PART OF THE COMMUNITY BUT THEN I GOT WISE TO EA'S MARKETING DIVISION AND DECIDED TO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO ANYTHING BIOWARE DOES UNLESS IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH A GAME."

Might be a bit big for a signature graphic.

Seriously people, get a grip, all you're missing out on here is the opportunity to be exploited and used by EA in a pilot marketing partnership between EA and several companies and BioWare is being used as the street corner pusher for the junk.

EDIT: Holy crap does this forum software have formatting issues.

Best comment yet.

Agreed with both of you! But it might bite them in the azz!

Spread it, RT it, FB it!

I am terribly sorry. I am unable to see what is so awesome about this contest, seeing how I cannot participate.

So no, the contest is far from "awesome".

The fact that we can still talk and inter-act in the community section of the BioWare forums' makes us all technically community members. I get your frustration, I do. But again, and hopefully last time (doubt it), it wasn't BioWare's decision to leave everyone else (including New York and Florida) out of it.

All we can actually do, and hope for, is a proper and official explanation as to why, cause at the moment, it's all just hype and guess work.

Incredibly disappointed in how this event has been handled. The US only caveat should have been posted up front. I have to say I'm disappointed in how BioWare are treating their international audience. First the Dr Pepper DLC fiasco, now this.

Very disappointing, BioWare/EA.

Clearly if you cannot enter this contest you are all no longer human beings.

Bioware has spoken.

Obey!
