Ok dude you keep saying it isn't "US only" so I am going to assume english is not your native language.
See, ONLY citizens of the US can particispate, making this a "US Only" contest. The fact that not all people in the US can participate does not change the fact that the only people that CAN particiapte are US citizens.
To use another example, I can say that I eat only vegetables, but I don't eat carrots because I am allergic. The fact that I don't eat carrots wouldn't stop me from eating only vegetables.
Describing this as a "US Only" event is accurate.

That would actually be incorrect CatIt's going to be your countries own laws regarding such competitions as this that exclude it, not some jerk sitting at a desk in EA/BioWare who decided they only like 48 of the 50 states of the USA
The only logistical issue is import fee's for items (which bioware could say is your problem)...
This is corporate BS....by the best in the business...EA.
And...EA is an international company...they should know better than to pull something like this. Their bazaar is set up to collect MORE customers, not less..so why exclude almost the whole world in favour of a few American states? lol

This is what annoys me most about this whole thing to be honest. I need a working patch dang it!

But that would have looked really stupid up there. Look, I feel for you guys. I really do. Also, I don't necessarily think that they advertised this the best way they could have. But give them a little credit for doing something really cool for a whole lot of their fans.davidk1991 wrote...
Nope, just let us know that it's US (minus two states) only, before you put up week-long countdowns and hype it as 'cool' in discussion threads.
And you don't think it looks stupid now?
Yeah, I give them credit, I suppose it's a good scheme if you like these kinda things. Just kinda annoyed that I took time out of my day to see what the hype was about, and got jack because I'm from elsewhere.

At least it's heading towards the right direction, as Matt Stone and Trey Parker put it 'Blame Canada', in this matter it's 'Blame EA' - I'm just so looking forward to an official statement to address why only us, and not even all of it can participate in this event.

What in the hell does that have to do with calling it US only? Do you have some kind of disease that prevents you from actually acknowledging point and instead deliver deflective comment?

Instead of putting it on the countdown timer, they could have posted a sticky post in all the "General discussion" informing us that, sadly, it will only be available for US with the exception of two states (New York and Florida). - If they had done it like that, it would've saved a lot of anger/confusion/annoyance and flaming from inconsiderate 'crude' people.

Because you're still looking at this as "memememememe." Saying it was US only would only have risen the ire of community members from New York and Florida. There was no way for them to win here, even if the way they did may not have been the best way to do it.Sloth Of Doom wrote...

And if they had said that, it may have made it too easy to guess the kind of thing that was going on. That would have wrecked the fun for even more people involved.
Stop taking it personal. They didn't say to themselves "We don't like SlothOfDoom, so lets exclude his country."

I'm not annoyed over the fact that I can't particulate, tbh I don't think I'd have had the winning 'bid' for anything anyway, but it would have been nice for Bioware/EA to have said before that it was going to be a comp and only for the US (minus Florida and NY). I think, in all honesty, that's what people aren't happy over.
I'm happy to support those who CAN participate, I've given a few clicks on things that my friends have asked me to, but can those who are able to participate stop giving us a hard time over our complaints. Go and play the game win your prizes (seriously, in all honesty, I wish you luck) but please, allow those who feel hard done speak, so that they're concerns are heard. After all, we're paying customers too!

In a previous thread, a Bioware employee said point blank that patches/bug fixes are basically a favor that they grant to us, not an obligation.
In other words, you're out of luck.

They will most likely pin it on legal issues, shipping, and/or EA, I'm hoing the corporate suits at EA gets the blame, and maybe this time, can stop with all their folly once and for all.

I mean the Warden's Quest event was not that long ago, and included teams made from all across the globe. In that case they did have control over it and consciously chose to include the entire world. That says a lot more than legal barriers on a single event.
