This is my biggest disappointment in Bioware since... well, since ever.

This thing reminds me of a quote from Mass Effect 1, about large corporations and accountability.

Clearly, BioWare sat around a table and decided what countries and states they hate. Surely laws can't have anything to do with it.

Lets not overreact.I know its not what most of us wanted to hear, me included.
I was expecting something a little bit more inclusive given the build up.
The countdown and the "Epic Community Event" insignia gave the impression it was going to be something quite major and to people eligible its a good thing.
My only problem has been the overhyping of the whole thing.
BUT..
We've not lost anything have we?
We're still going to get ME3 and DA2 at some point and its not like this is taking away anything from the games we already have. Yes it would have been nice to have something a bit more inclusive but all in all, I'm not too fussed.
Swings and Roundabouts.

Why is this contest U.S. only? You know Bioware is a Canadian company, that produces games in a Canadian studio and Canada is excluded... as a Canadian I must say I'm fairly miffed at your sense of patriotism here.
Not to mention the 6-day countdown over-hype for an event that's of little relevence to most of the community.

This is disappointing, but I don't see why everyone's so pissed. Canada's excluded because of our Contest Laws, not because Bioware hates us.

I'm sure there's a bazillion legal snags that make international contests a pain in the ass, and I can understand why it's US only...but jeez, could they have handled this any worse?

Seriously, there was no need for a countdown. It's irrelevant to everyone outside the US and even if it wasn't, still does not require a countdown.

I'm begining to get used to this! First off because I play Dragon Age on the PS3 & I can't even register Awakening because they decided it would be download only! Now, I can't enter this epic community event because I live in the UK!!! As a few others have said, the only thing EPIC about this is EPIC FAIL!

(Why lock the other thread, it was doing no harm...)
As well as not being able to take part in the auction, European PS3 users cannot register our copies of Awakening, so we're 1750 tokens down right away.
This is discrimination!!

so here is a question....if you reply to the twitter questions, how do they link your twitter account to your bioware account?

Except this is a private forum, and freedom of speech doesn't exist here...

It absolutely needed a countdown. People are already collecting tokens. I'm already doing my best to collect them. Every minute of this counts.

Yeah... sheez... and here I was thinking: 'Interesting', but this news... a BIG letdown... hyping it that much up, and then this news: 'Oh, you don't live in the US, so **** you!' Thank you too Bioware and EA!

Their sales of the expansion and DLC must be sliding off pretty badly. Now that people finally have exposed the game for the steaming pile that it is. Next thing you know they'll have a garage sale for the DLC's on the site.

Hmm.
Looks to be a fun little event.
That prize list looks sharp.
Like with many other people however, it is disappointing that I cannot participate.

The Charge: IMPROPER USE OF A COUNTDOWN TIMER
The Verdict: GUILTY

well..i am not frustrated about the bazaar itself..i think its a cool idea and even if i am not able to take part i would not mind it...but:
-nearly a wheek i was hyped up by that countdown
-it was also said to be an "epic community event" so i even got more hyped up
so now i got a big dissapointment because i got hyped up for nothing and just to mock me i allready have 5950 tokens ready to...well...i could print that page and burn it symbolically..
