Let's not forget about a HUGE clock countdown that the GAMING community has following for days, someof us hoping that it would bring us new of something EPIC related to GAMES. An Epic DLC, Expansion, Sequel. I really don't care for toy soldiers and stuff like that. Game for me is what I can play in my PC. I love BW's games since BG and their waste of time and effort to make this Epic thing into a total failure for the largest part of the GAMING community, is disappointed.
5 months waiting for some bugs to be erradicated, terminated, anihilated and nothing. But a bazaar they're pretty fast to make happen? And what about the server crash at 0:00:00:00 ? Shouldn't they be prepared for some huge traffic? They invited their whole community to the party but when we came, the ballroom is too small to handle all the people and only US residents got their name in the guest list? So, why invite us at all? And for a party that is not starred by major artists, like DA or ME actual game stuff. But by some secondary band that most of us haven't heard about, do not care about and was sold to us as an Epic band.
I came to a Led Zeppelin concert and found it was "Repolho Nervoso" (or Nervous Cabbage) playing. have you heard of them? Me neither! And I can't get into the concert because my name is not in the list. Ok, I don't want to get into that anyway. I want to know why was I invited and spent 6 days in a queue to be barred at the door.

Honestly the entire idea was daft. A contest is not worth a 6 day countdown timer, does not qualify as Epic, and honestly even if I could participate I'd rather just stick to buying the occasional lottery ticket, I'd have as much chance of winning and a lot less hassle. The whole US only thing was just the extra slap in the face on top of the initial let down that pushed things over the edge.
Seriously Bioware/EA hire some one that doesn't suck at marketing.

Does anyone else think that this contest seems like a smokescreen to hide the fact that after five months they really haven't done anything to fix the bugs? I would've liked to see them put all this effort into fixing the game instead of a contest that alienates a lot of people.
Danny, I agree. This definitely has the feel of a smokescreen gone terribly wrong. I dont even care about some stupid contest like this, fixing the bugs would be alot better.
Yeah, could be some suit said..."boys we got a problem, lot of folks are POed at the bugs not be patched in DA, so why not do something to take their minds off it."
So instead of taking our minds off of the bug issue, they just ended up throwing gasoline on the fire.

I for one am finding my unflagging support for Bioware being tested to the point I was going to buy Kotor online the day it came out, but now I am thinking I might wait and see if the European support for that is as flimsey as it has been lately here.
Everyone loves a freebie, everyone can understand budgets, but stop giving the rest of the world to two finger salute.

Yeah, they really don't know how to prioritize. Consider what this debacle is going to cost.Kastagir wrote...
Resources are finite. Bioware should direct more resources on QA and less on trite garbage like this. That's the proper way to show gratitude to the community.
You could hire someone for months, to actually give Bioware a good reputation through quality products and patching, instead. Instead, they opt to throw money away on an "exclusive event" that only pisses people off.

What's with all these big PR flops lately? Valve and the whole halo/idling fiasco, EA's countless mess-ups, Ubisoft's new DRM/online play nonsense and now even Bioware join the list with this facepalm-inducing feat?
The prizes look great, the contest in itself is a great idea. But geez guys, you're really shooting yourselves in the foot with this one!

This is hilarious, since I considered making a chinese flag signature, but instead of "But now I'm only chinese", I was going to write "But now I'm only a communist".General Balls wrote...
Damn! They won't let me have my sig at full size. I liked it too.

Just here to say I find this "Americans only" thing absolutely ridiculous, seeing that I could go and walk or drive by a Bioware office anytime I wanted, and yet I cannot enter an online contest.
Yeah, that's kinda funny when they'll pay more for shipping to some states when there are provinces in Canada that are closer. They had to have known about the backlash they would get from this, and whoever came up with the idea for the flags, well done!

Agreed, but that doesn't seem to occur to the suits that do the marketing.
I would call them by voice, but I just got back a couple of hours ago from a multiple root canal session at the dentist and don't really feel like talking on the phone.
