The only complaint I have of the event is giving 500 points for using the character creator without giving console users another means to make up the difference.

You guys realize that there are three "Announcing the BioWare Bazaar" threads, right? One in each forum?

26 pages in Off-topic
40 pages in Dragon Age discussion
115 pages in ME 2 discussion

Gotta post in all of them to make it count!
Even the discussion thread is an Epic Fail.. splitting or trying to split our voices like that!

there's a post in the same thread but on ME2 general discussion forum, with all of them, made by Starscreamer. Might be hard to find it, over 115 pages already. But if you see one that suits you, just right click on it,  View Image, get the URL where the image is hosted and apply to your sig with the [url[ - ]/url] tag - using the right [] combo

Well see, that's part of the problem -- the fact that so many Americans don't care either way...

Frankly, I don't care for the prizes offered -- I already have the books, a great computer, and all that I need. It's a question of principle. You don't slap in the face those who have supported and encouraged you for years -- it's just bad manners and shows a severe lack of respect. That's why so many people feel insulted by this event. That's not so hard to understand, is it?

as a community we should actually stand as one and nobody should really participate in this contest

Laws and restrictions make extending the contest globally impractical. This is why promo contests for companies based in the US (EA) also tend to exclude Florida and New York. For future events they probably will want to announce it and the rules right away instead of building it up through a counter, but it isn't them purposely forgetting portions of their playerbase.

Then you don't make such an event, Period. Anyone with good sense would understand this.
Don't you agree?

For the 10000th time the issue isnt the contest, the issue is the false advertising before the contest, implying that it was to be community wide. And THAT was the fault of Bioware. Pay attention.

Yep... and the fact that we were all invited to some EPIC event, spent 6 days on a queue for admittance and what? what? The event is far from Epic and we had the door shut right in our faces!

So, I have to take an extreme opinion that I don't believe in just so I can get lumped into "don't get insulted because of my birth country" crowd?

No thanks. I'm not going to participate in the whole thing, but I really don't feel the need to get all Mohandas Ghandi with the rest of you. It's just not that big of a deal to me.

Perhaps you should be focusing on the perpatrators of your percieved injustice, instead of railroading everyone who doesn't feel the same way you do.

All future promotional contests shouldn't happen because certain people can't be involved due to legal restrictions?

I'll be sure to pass that memo to nearly every major company out there.

Perhaps we should avoid such disparaging statements with an oversimplification and generalization which really doesn't become us.

Agreed. Americans have nothing to do with it. It is personal! Someone with a real small mind, lousy PR skills, poor marketing background and tunnel vision thought of something bad and somehow sold it and it was made public! I'm not sure if that's the guy I'm mad at or at the people who bought such lousy idea. But American gamers are our friends as they have always been. Even if they can't resist and participate in the contest. Someone's gotta win those rubbish.
