Owe? No. And to say they do owe us anything is arrogant./
But a relationship is built up between a company and its fans/ clients. The fans will inevitably develope an expectation based on their experience with the company and i think its fair to say that of recent, bioware has not met that expectation. Some will say its because of a drop in morality. Some a drop in quality.

Personaly i think its a combination of the two.

Well, there's your problem.

They haven't made a single penny  yet on this retarded auction and its  junk prizes..

And  shareholders keep a keen eye on the pissed off consumer.  Which is something that EA will soon learn, if they haven't yet.

So if you need an answer to your question, there it is.

You're incredibly naive. The only reason Bioware is holding this auction is because it's a cheap way of advertising their games. $62k is an absolute pittance compared to the costs of advertising across other media.
I can't guess at how much money they've made from this ad campaign, but you can be certain it's more than a single penny.

They promised us a community event. We didn't get it. The USA did. They promised their customers a service, then reneged that promise.

If, for example, McDonalds announced a 'McDonalds Customer Event" and advertised it everywhere, but then released it only to a certain country, can you imagine what would happen?

They don't OWE us anything, no, but they do OWE us some acknowledgement that they do give a **** about us. Us being the community not in the US.

Obs...yeah...I know....cheer me up will ya?

Leifa...if you bother reading, I also issued an apology, but when you have been involved in domestic violence, seen its affects first hand, inane posts like darkstars jarr me ok....yes maybe I took it too personally, but its insulting to the (yes millions) of domestic abuse victims throughout the world....

Lets drop it now eh?

You'd think we'd be used to scandals by now. Disasters too. Just look at the state government. ;)

Where do you think EA/Bioware is hiring their PR and Marketing people from:)

And it shows, considering.

I live just over the border and have been watching that "train wreck in motion" ever since your State Senate went AWOL last summer.

I find it funny that every law our state government passes is for NYC. Apparently no other cities exist in NY state. Because NYC is the only city with any benefits from anything that ever happens.

Oh, don't mind me. I just live in the nonexistant second biggest city in NY. I don't matter. :P (At least, last I checked it was the second biggest city in NY. Unless Albany has suddenly had a huge population influx.)

I live about 5 minutes from the Peace Bridge :P

So I get to watch the Buffalo news coverage of Albany Assinities

They promised a community event, and lo and behold, there is one, albeit only for certain Americans.

I'll repeat myself, since you missed it the first time.

They haven't made a single penny yet off this bazaar.   And their 5  (five) sponsors probably bartered the prizes  to get their names on the contest, rather than paid in ad money.  Because that's how contests and auctions work.

But back to the point.  When you advertize something, and don't make a penny as a result, that typically makes shareholders UNimpressed.

Maybe  they'll pull off a miracle and turn a profit off this insanely overhyped,  mismarketed, ameteurish promotion of theirs, but I wouldn't count on it.  This has all the makings of a total disaster.

Thank you Obtusifolius. I just wish someone could refute it and prove me wrong.

Why do I keep seeing a gigantic, ugly spider sucking the life out of something, leaving it a soulless, lifeless husk? I wonder how much worse things will get?

If the old forums were available, people could check and see how different everything has become. Sad. Truly sad.

Actually I would suggest that the whole debacle has been a success. The Bioware Bazaar (Bizarre) has united the community in an epic way...unfortunately not in the way they expected, but I've never seen the 'community' so united, even if it is in 'rebellion'.

I live about 15 minutes from the Peace Bridge.

And all I can think at the moment is "Holy ****, it's a person who lives near me! On the internet! I didn't know those existed."

You don't find very many people from Buffalo/ nearby Ontario online.

I'm sorry, I can see I'm not going to be able to get through to someone that pulls random figures out of their arse.
Advertising works. Fact, argue against it all you will, Bioware will profit from this bazaar.

I'm not sure if you're being deliberately obtuse, or if you're just plain ol' stupid, but here's the quote for you.

They haven't made a single penny yet off this bazaar.

#BiowareBazaar, #DragonAge, #MassEffect and @Biofeed not showing among top 10 but I bet that if we were on Twitter, #IusedToBeaPart would be in the top ten TT World!

Other than the members of the club I manage, you are the first that I have met online that's a close neighbour.
So, Hi Neighbour. Think of me when you are eating a Sahlens' Dog  or munching on some Chiavettas Chicken :D

^that's not a figure.  That's  a statement of TIME.

The Bazaar and the contest itself hasn't f*cking started yet.  DUH.  And right now, the only  thing this "bazaar" is generating is Negative feedback.
