I don't think anyone at Bioware is really at liberty to discuss anything EA does...[/quote]
I agree.
They need to free themselves from EA, if that is at all possible -- even if it means abandoning the old games and starting a new one, or abandoning the name "BioWare" itself... We'll know it's them.
I surely would support the artists, If they said they were parting and going back to doing their little thing. And I'm sure many would pre-order their new game -- not only because it would be a great game, no doubt, but to wage war on EA, hehe.
Power to Bioware!
Of course, I am assuming, here, that the people at BioWare have come to see that staying with EA may not be the best of things... If they
do want to stay with EA, then: No comment.

They may not have a choice in the matter Leifa, if they want to continue to produce games, now that they've signed up with EA..I am sure thats an iron clad contract, til death do they part..lol. Or til Bioware can't come up with any more great product....then well...end of the line.

I don't know exactly what their contract states. But if they can leave, even if it's only with their shirts, I'm sure that the community would stand behind them -- even if that means investing in the new "BioWare".
Imagine gamers waging war against EA by enabling the artists at BioWare to be independant. You could give however much you wish -- many internet sites and other bigger institutions survive only on donations. So add donations + Pre-orders of next game, even if it's to be released in a year, and it would add up. And I refuse to believe that the gamer community would refuse to be in on this -- their hatred of EA alone would incite them to help.
Anyways, maybe I'm being idealistic, but I remain convinced that it could work.
And I, for one, would be more than willing to give money in order to keep those artists inspired and working.
