hahaha! THIS is the big secret revealed? I'm rather amused because i doubt it was worth the fuzz really. placing a counter on your website to leave people to speculte is quite a good strategy but please don't waste it on something like that! it will make us loose interest for your future marketing and loose our trust in your words.



i also don't think it's a good idea to advertise something to people that they cannot have. it's like placing a "next mc donalds 2000 miles" sign in the middle of some ethiopian slum. pretty pointless and aggravating for the hungry ethiopian...

but i leave that to the professionals.

Actualy, false advertising is quite illegal in some countries.  There's lawsuits over it all the time.  I'm not commenting on it in terms of context here, just stating an interesting fact when you write things like "isn't a huge issue".

Good luck suing EA and their building full of corporate lawyers and mountains of financial resources that will squash your lawsuit.

I only said it wasn't a "huge issue" because there's no way anyone could sue them for false advertising.  Way to completely over react though.

Well, I must say that I'm disappointed, heck, I'd even go as far as to say I'm immensely disappointed.

The fact that bothers me the most:
It's not the fact that for days I've been oogling "Epic bioware community countdown" - Note, epic one.

It's not the fact I can't join in on the 'competition'/'bazaar' - Though, it's quite high up on te list.

It's not the fact that I'm clearly not part of the BioWare community, despite having all games from Baldurs Gate -> Dragon Age: Awakening (exclude ME series), and being on these forums daily.

Thing that bothers me the most is the lack of a reason as to WHY  I can't participate. At least give me, and all the thousands of others wondering, just why we have to sit by and not have a chance at getting those rather, wicked looking prizes.

Hopefully this will be brought up.

All that being said, I'm still loving Dragon Age and the other BioWare games, disappointed, and hope we'll receive an official statement as to why we're being left out., nevertheless, still a hardcore fan.

I seriously think this may go down as an example as to how to NOT improve customer relations in some marketing 101 class or some such.

Honestly, it isn't THAT big a thing, but it was handled in such a poor way that it is easy to blow out of proportion.

But yeah, I think its probably less Bioware's fault and more to do with sponsors, or EA. I guess we will just have to wait and find out.
