You have to be a resident of one of the participating states. I'm actually not sure how that applies to green cards. Legal restrictions are legal restrictions, man. They don't always make a lot of sense, but you still have to follow them.

So in order to participate you have to show them a copy of your work visa...funny stuffs.

That will be hard, no one is working in the US

EDIT: And no, it's not about the fact that you're only including fans from a certain area. That's reasonable and completely understandable for a number of reasons. What irritates me is that FIRST you got everyone's hopes up and THEN told that most of us aren't eligible.

agreed i was super excited about this. posted the link on my facebook page, told all my mates how cool BIOWARE is and now I feel like i have been slapped in the face...

Well I think its a cool idea at least.

Its pretty obvious though that international laws make trying to run something like this in more than just one country just about impossible.

It sucks that they had a countdown up like that for everyone though.

Hmm, great. Bioware did well for the U.S., not paying attention to other countries, forbidding them to forget about the fans of games around the world. Such an impression.



However, after reading the topic, I'm beginning to think that the counter was made only for lulz. People are arguing with each other, but for what? At this look Bioware, and laughing, thinking: a bunch of trolls **** about the empty, and we collect from this unrealistic Lulzim.

I find it very odd that BioWare (or EA, I don't know which one came up with the rules) thinks that there is no life outside the US... I was interested in the announcement until I read the rules. I guess overseas postage fees and whatever cost money, but still...
