100% OT: just how "Cold" does Florida get during the winder anyway?

/TSD

Depends. Here in Miami the coldest it got was around 28-30 degrees. Up in Central and Northern Florida it got even colder I believe.

Lol, Miami got around 45 F at the coldest (which lasted a week at most).  No way it ever got below 35 this year.

chiliztri, are you having quoting problems today? Image IPB

Yes, I am. And I'm too lazy to fix it :bandit:

Yeah, well, I was going to try to fix it, but the website just yelled at me and called me stupid. Image IPB

It's obviously incapable of understanding your superior intellect.

I'm not being sarcastic. Nope. Not at all.

Is there seriously no way around exclusions for us floridians? Seriously, now i have all these tokens and no way to use them. I haven't seen any other sweepstakes eliminating Florida or New York, and this from a company that says they care about their fan-base and community? sigh...

Wow, look at all this butthurt.

You really shouldn't air your personal problems on such a public forum.

No, really, I'm sure you also mock small children who drop their ice cream cones, too.

Somehow I don't think that this was the reaction Bioware/EA was hoping for Image IPB

I actually think there would have been less of an outrage if the countdown just ended on a rick roll.

I would have been able to laugh then.

*sigh* Alright, alright. Let's all face it, we're not that upset, we were all extremely suspicious of this countdown affair to begin with and I think all of us can see why they would suddenly be limited to excluding most regions of the world to only US partions.

EA's hands can only stretch so far in supporting a community event and I assume their headquarters in Europe, Asia and Canada actually didn't want any part of this. At least, if EA is involved at all. If not, then it's because Bioware only has headquarters in the US and Canada, but some parts of Bioware and EA refused to support this bazaar.

So I wonder, "what now"? How do you do damage control on this? Well, not a lot was damaged, but I think this was a huge blow to the faith of the company from the community members on these boards. I just don't quite understand:

I've personally gotten free swag from Bioware before. It wasn't impossible then, what happened with this event?

Really? I'm just guessimating. Condensation froze, so I was assuming it was at least below the freezing point.

Actually, now that I think about it, it actually snowed this winter. It had to be at least below or around the freezing point of water.

You know, all this wanking, all this anger - yes, we're pissed off. But the real question is, are you still going to buy EAware's products? It would have been nice to know that this BioWare Community event was only open to the US, and only 48 states at that, but is this really going to stop us from buying ME3 when it comes out? If the answer is "no", then there isn't a need for them to care.
