This isn't a straight up contest folks, and THAT is why non-US entities were excluded because of the massive amount of red tape and extra taxation that the winners and Bioware/specific manufacturers would have to pay, and the massive bureaucratic stink-hole that needs to be waded for an event like this.

Do any of you know a thing about tariffs, taxes, and individual country's regulations on converting a fake currency (IE: tokens) into items worth real currency? Look at all hoopla going on about VAT and Second-life currency.

Way to ignore the actual reason people are upset. Derp?

Then they shouldn't have advertised it as part of a community event, just a large part of the states event. I would've been sad but happier than hyping myself up for this bull****.

They were going to fix the site formatting but they have been too busy with this epic community event.

It's as broken as this entire bazaar concept.

Yes, because partial community events are so much more important then patches, DLC, and actual games.
Glad to know they have their priorities straight.

What that you aren't being included? Write your representatives; write the people that make the laws.
To any monkey that's taken a marketing class knows that this isn't a contest just for a contest.

Well, they did manage to unite the entire community against them. So you could say it's a success.

Yep... and ignore the fact that we were all invited to some EPIC event, spent 6 days on a queue for admittance and what? what? The event is far from Epic and we had the door shut right in our faces!
Dragon Age - BioWare's Map of the World - EPIC FAIL

That's all soo true. But why did they choose to make this bazaar for showing their thanks for ALL their fans on their 15th birthday while ignoring a very big part of their fanbase?

Hate to be a pedant but they're different branches of the same company. BioWare's PR team won't be involved with development, and their development team will rarely (if ever) be involved in PR outside of appearances or interviews (sort of like the Mass Effect 2 preview thingy with Casey (I think) and Christina).chiliztri wrote...

Chances are that patches are being worked on as we speak, BioWare Bazaar or otherwise.

Money was still thrown into this "community event" that could've been used elsewhere.

Looked up EA's third quarter fiscal. investor.ea.com/releasedetail.cfm
Looks like North America represents roughly 58% of their 2nd quarter fiscal net revenue, and Europe at 37% of same. Apparently they did aim at the majority market from their perspective.
Not making excuses, just looking for the logic in their approach. The whole approach is still quite tacky.
Canada is also part of North America.
I refuse to allow your to manuever me into the position of Defending EA.
To be honest, excluding New york and Florida makes far more sense to me than Canada, I wouldn't even begin to be able to find the logic in that reasoning.
Maybe they figured because you already had the Olympics?
