I think it's time to start an old fashion letter writing campaign to Bioware. This is the kind of thing we were all afraid of when EA bought Bioware.

Anyone got the mailing address?

do you want the Edmonton or Austin address?

Fantastic idea, megawug. I'll shoot a letter at them, too.

Remember, a letter always gets opened. Emails might just get deleted.

Mail gets thrown into the fire, so they get to save money on heating instead of throwing millions in the fire.

Thanks Acc3ss. Yeah, let's send snail mail to the Edmonton office. That should still be the heart of Bioware's operation... strike at the heart (or maybe EA took it away)!

I doubt the Austin building had anything to do with this, I'd hit their main HQ - let the Austin group work on TOR.

That's why I suggested the Austin office, it's warm down in Texas

Seriously, I'd trade this whole community event crap in a heartbeat for a patch fixing the remaining bugs and a snazzier selection on mage robes.

That's true, but if one does not express outrage at an obvious injustice, then any and everything can be swept under the rug. :bandit:

...So, how long do you think they'll keep this thread open? Twenty five pages of BioFlame is quite a lot.

Keep flaming until there's a contest for the rest of the world.  I'm not sure about Florida and New York... maybe EA intentionally stacked the odds in California's favour!

Honestly, though...Is it possible to create a worse community event? Short of excluding everyone, of course.

Yes.

They could've made it only include one state.

Hey,  it's not all flame. Some of us are posting just to call you all whiny and unreasonable. :innocent:

I do have to admit that the exclusion of even Canada from their "big event" seems very odd. Quebec residents aside, there is no legal impediment to including Canadians. I expect who ever looked at this was qualified to practice law in California and had little experience to express any opinion on the the legality in Canada. Just a PR contest - no budget for those sorts of inquiries beyond in-house counsel, and that was that.

So it's undersandable how a decision like that gets made; however, If the idea of PR is to increase your goodwill among your loyal fans - when that can only be done at the cost of angering you *other* fans - I don't see how the "Net increase" on such a goodwill calculation ends up being a positive.
