You guys realize that there are three "Announcing the BioWare Bazaar" threads, right? One in each forum?

26 pages in Off-topic
40 pages in Dragon Age discussion
115 pages in ME 2 discussion

Gotta post in all of them to make it count!
Even the discussion thread is an Epic Fail.. splitting or trying to split our voices like that!

Will I be able to sell my points as since I live in the UK they are kinda useless to me lol  I wish I didn't get myself hyped up when I saw that countdown timer as I was hoping they were making Jade Empire 2 :crying: but alas instead it was just Bioware showing their appreciation to their fans and community by giving out awesome prizes to 20% of their fanbase and pointing and laughing at the rest :P At least I don't live in Canada as then I would feel truly betrayed and if I did I'd rob the truck full of prizes heading to the US as it left Bioware headquarters :bandit::ph34r:B);)

Hi Chris,

All well and good, but as you have NOT made this available to those of us in Europe (and many other countries) it all seems kind of pointless and really didnt deserve the big countdown if it's not an international bonus.

Very disappointed.

What was the point to make a big thing out of it if most of people don't get effected by this? Its like announcing a big birthday party to everyone and then telling to most of us to **** off because we are not invited. Good manners are something that BioWare not found of or just never managed to learn?

Shame on BW and their constant idiotic butt licking to one specific nation (to which I have nothing against). It would be even more logical to support a whole region, but you don't even support your own country where you work.

Edit: For those who say that its legal thing, screw this, DICE runs epic comunity events all the time in Sweden and noone outside Sweden knows about this and dont get sad. They dont place a counter about it on every map for the rest of the world.

Good manners

That's the point. I mean, they put up a countdown, they have got a social website for ALL fans, they're from Canada. And then they do this. I disapprove (-50).

Oh, BioWare, what have you done? Why would you take a crap on your own fans? I've said it before and I'll say it again, never anounce that you're anouncing something except if it's super awesome. Putting a countdown clock on a website is a good way to hype something and in the end we got a "Sorry Europe, Africa, Asia, etc., you can't play."

BioWare should learn a thing or two about being friendly towards customers.

And most of all... Where is the apology?

We are not talking about a Wednesday evening poker club making a booboo. EA is a multinational. It *knows* that it has an international fan base. In fact they are counting on it. This social site also supports various other languages and I just cannot believe that the "community manager" forgot about that large portion of its fans. We are not talking about a minority here. The "minority" contains the fans in the world minus those in the US. :P

This is announcement of an epic community event was total bull****. Where is the epic in an event that not even one whole country can participate in? Where is the community in an event that is only for some us states?....

I am really disappointed!!

Please note that you get 1750 points for an awakening expansion and only 1200 for Dragon Age:Origins. That means they are just trying to collect more cash and convince us to buy the expansion. Also the same thing with clicking the referral link on facebook to earn points, just using as for additional promotion. And they are all doing it on Bioware's 15th birthday.Disgusting, just disgusting.

That's one of the things that really ticks me off about this. They have this huge 'cool' community event. Then they limit it to the US (minus Florida and NY) and then it also turns out to be just a lame marketing stunt? Using the fans for viral marketing and milking them for more money?

BioWare lost my respect for sure. (Does prove me right not buying the lame Visual Apearance Pack DLC. I was thinking about it just to support BioWare, but I guess they are no company worth supporting after all...)

Would they not make more money if they involved us cash cows aswell? Now they stand to lose out on even more money.

This PR failure of epic proportions really made me wonder about the abilities of the people involved. It didn't occur to anybody that maybe it isn't such a smart move to aggressively advertise something as a great community event when in reality they left the majority of the community out of it? I mean, how stupid is that? What were they thinking? And to add insult to injury, they are freely distibuting those silly tokens to everybody, even though most people can't do anything with them. Peter Principle in action?
