damn you bioware it bothers me a canadian company does not include it's native land... i was excited about this till i read the dang rules. there no reason you couldnt split those prizes between countries. who are your fans! are you selling out to the americans who you think are your majority fans or you had no say in this contest when it comes down to sponsors like amd giving you the computers probably as a donation as a tax write off?

That's really a minority, Addy. You know how happy and proud the whole world was when B.O. won it, right? Now, there's one very stupid person, whichever nationality he/she may be, that really deserved a spanking for having this "epically failed" idea of inviting the whole community to an "epic" party that isn't that great, geting us all excited about it for 6 days watching a clock countdown like drooling fans we are and then shutting the door in our faces. Just wanted to say that my video is not zhitty, it was meant to be funny and protesting at the same time, shows some epic fail moment, a funny map and has Seth & Amy on it! The other 100 DA videos of mine are just a fan's tribute!

The other vids linked here, either made by us, the gamers, or just directing to some funny stuff there, are way too cool to be considered zhitty as well!

You seriously thought it was anything but a US only (or almost) thing? I was saying this already on Saturday! But don't get angry at BioWare. It's EA's guilt here. Hell, we are in 1,000,000 + members here. I propose every member gives 1000 dollars and WE, the BioWare community, buy BioWare from EA's fingers!

Some people have pointed out that Florida and New York have strict/weird laws regulating contest/taxes.

I'm pretty sure EA/BioWare thought it would just be easier to exclude FL and NY then go through the trouble of doing whatever they needed to do for us to partcipate. Same for the rest of the world I would imagine.

Whether you bid or want to bid or not....is not the point.  People are whining as you put it because the whole thing was missleading to the global community as a whole and alienated most of it.  Also it was a huge let down because of the hype of putting a countown on the site.

Yeah....will we get over it.  Probably.  But it's only been a day and the community has been burned so anger is justified.  And I'll get over it when I damn well feel like it and hear what Bioware has to say about it.

If you weren't going to bid why whine at all? It just seems so futile to me. And if you were actually expecting something grand from a "major community event" on an internet forum you just need to get out more my friend. 

Also, dwelling on the past is unhealthy. Especially when it's something as insignificant as this.
