Surely it would be quicker and easier to release a statement so people don't keep opening new threads?
Oh well, more work for him.
whats funny is one of the threads was a guy from australia that was asking what to do with his tokens,
poor shmo didnt even know that he has been excluded yet...

# Eligibility. This Contest is only open to residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia with the exception of residents of Florida and New York, who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry and who had Internet access as of March 15, 2010. Employees of Electronic Arts Inc., and its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, advertising, promotion and publicity agencies ("Sponsor and its agents") and the immediate family members and persons living in the same household of each are not eligible. Contest is void where prohibited, restricted or taxed by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
So.....basicly Bioware is saying. We do not give a **** about our european fans or anything. We just think america is the big world out there? Seriously disappointed and angry about this.
But then again, we europeans should be customed to being shafted like this constantly right!

With enough people, maybe we could convince Bioware/EA to let the rest of the world join in. I'm doubtful, but you never know...Darht Jayder wrote...
someone should PM him the link to the 150 page thread. Maybe then he would realize the size of the anger.

Yes, I'm sure a petition will convince them to violate laws in various countries the world over.

i dont think this is possible due to differet laws in different countries. What most people are pissed abt (including me) is the huge noise that was made about this and how it was going to be an EPIC ANNOUCEMENT FOR THE WHOLE COMMUNITY and it landed up being an epic announcement JUST for the US, and not even the whole US at that...

it's against the law to bid on a t-shirt or a customised pc/ xbox? I don't see what laws prevent a world-wide bidding site.Sherana wrote...

I guess that would need to much preparations to do it en passant so the chances are slim. After all, legal stuff is probably the cause for the limitation to US residents.Mr Chr15topher wrote...

Honestly, I would like my country (Canada) to be included, as well as the other neglected Countries.
BUT
I would be embarrased to actually have earned one of these "tokens" lol

Meh, that is garbage. For example, literally thousands of companies smaller than EA manage to have contests in both Canada and the US. Of course, people just ignore that and say "Nyuh-uh legal issues lolololol"
