i thinks what pissed my off the most was the fact that on my profile it states that i have "X" amount of token to use for bids when in reality i cant. I mean its like telling a fat kid that he can have a whole chocolate cake but then putting it out of his reach

I didn't think there were any laws to stop them. It's just EA being lazy or selfish then.Sloth Of Doom wrote...
Personally I couldn't give a crap about the contest itself, it is the misleading advertising that bugs me. But for those who are saying that you can't hold a contest in more than one country I will slap up a quick example of a gaming company that does just that, because people spewing apologist nonsense without any facts to back them up bug me.

It's EA being playing favourites but I still hold Bioware as partly at fault too.Mr Chr15topher wrote...

now im even more pissed off!!
thanks for this Sloth, it just further proves how little they care for the community and just how much of a ****ing marketing ploy this is to go and buy the DAO expansion pack (as it offers the most points) and other recently released (all EA btw) games.
if this is to mark 15 years of BIOWARE why are only the games released by EA relevant???

Seeing that they decided to only include a small portion of the community in it, shows there utter disrespect for there customers and loyal fans. It is sickening.
They atleast need to say something about this, or issue a apolagie to all of us and close down this farce of a community event.

ITs not that the laws "stop them" it is that those laws can make it extremely costly in time and/or money by making the company AND contestant jump thru loops.
It all peeked my interest and have just been surfing a little. Take it all with a bit of salt.

Considering theres no actual profit to what they are doing I am just guessing they wanted to avoid all the things that would of cost them a pretty penny.
ITs a crappy situation in general but nothing to get your blood pressure up over.
Besides, as far as I now it's not just a contest, it is a kind of auction. That could complicate things even more.
