What the point of countdowns at European sites if Europe is not included?
Disappointed.

Just because it's a community event doesn't mean it's a community WIDE event, but that it isn't available to those who don't take part in the community.
Then why was it on MY bio page along with everyone else's?
If they were going to be SELECTIVE and only choose PREFERRED customers to participate..then they should have only advertised this "EPIC" event in the continental USA...
This event just fails in so many ways, and definitely lowers my esteem for Bioware and its marketing ploys.

There are already two threads complaining about this US-only event:
I'm sure in a few hours there will be a lot more. I don't understand why you announce first the countdown and now the event for everyone to see, but then you say is only for the US. If it's only for the US, announce it only for the US-resident social members. I supose this is only for US for legal issues, but don't announce then in Europe (or Canada, or other Continents/Countries).
I hope the next one will include Europe too...
Heh ..geographically speaking..according to EA..Canada isn't on the North American map.
From now on, perhaps a mass e-mailing to your PREFERRED customers would be more tactful...EA Canada (Bioware)
Its just one step away from annexing Canada altogether.
They've been saying that for YEARS...long as I have been alive...hasn't happened yet. They probably figure we'll burn their White House down again.
No, it's just that most aren't ready for the manlieness that is Curling.

To show our appreciation of American fan support and to celebrate the 15th anniversary of BioWare, we have created the BioWare Bazaar
Yeah, thanks Bioware.

Sorry for writing in Russian, but each nation should use profanities in their native language to show EA how much we hate them!

Even as an American I am not going to participate in this BS. I don't necessarily blame Bioware, I think its more an EA push through their most dominate subsidiary. After all, Bioware is 2/3 located in Canada where EA is HQ'd in California USA
Really? I am still going to participate and try to get some neat swag. You're only hurting yourself by not participating, but at least there will be one less person bidding on it.

I agree, it is pretty funny. I'm disapointed that Bioware have essentially turned their back on so many fans, but cursing Bioware with 'f*** you', 'go to hell' and that sort of thing is just way too over the top.
Guess BioWare definitely need to use ebay for that.

How the people in PR were unable to see this reaction before it happened is beyond me. They must be damn poor at doing their work properly(offense intended). It's downright abuse of fans' trust for a quick viral marketing ploy. Damned degrading for both parties.

As Brad Pitt would say in Inglorious Basterdz : '' Correcto!''

What I'm really pissed off about is this ludicrous thing that we overseas customers cannot be given anything in any way it seems. It doesn't need to be physical (if there are legal issues, which I find hard to be believe when you see people ordering things from America to the rest of the world, with tax and all) but I sure as hell wouldn't say no to DLCs or some other digital content created for this purpose which can be directly bound to our Social Network account.
Hit the nail on the head right there! I totally agree with you, the internet has no borders!

Really, this is one of those damned if you did damned if you didn't situations. The only way they could have made everyone happy would have been to find a way to include everyone. I can't speak as to why they didn't, I'm guessing it has to do with laws in various countries and the use of the points system. *shrugs* Do I personally, think it would have been better for it to have been a world wide event? Or for them to have seperate events for sections of the world? Sure, but I can see how that might not have been feasable. Do I understand why people are upset? Absolutely! I'm just trying to be a voice of reason in the maelstrom of ****storm that is this thread atm. People are taking this way too personally.
