Really sucks how its impossible to get anything if you havent been point farming. Was really excited about this then saw every auction was going for around 10,000 and totally disappointed now.

Yeah, I assumed I would at least be able to get a small thing with my 6k points. I refuse to touch Twitter so I didn't get any of the challenges. Seems like unless you have tons of friends willing to click your url and all day off work to do the challenges you aren't going to get anything... Sucks, was really hoping to get one of the lithographs.

One thing that really bugs me is grouping several items into packages. Now all the people with tons of points are going to get everything and the people with a moderate amount are going to get nothing, unless they switch it to individual items as time goes on.

Anyone else win anything? I won a poster pack, sent my details as they directed, but received no confirmation. Are we supposed to?

I'd assume it's like the twitter challenges, it may take them up to a day to respond.

Bioware Bazaar is an Illegal Lottery

http://ilt.eff.org/i...tions#Lotteries

Lotteries
Lotteries are prohibited by federal and state laws (though most states have amended their laws to allow
state-run lotteries). Lotteries consist of three elements: consideration, chance and prize. Any promotion that has all three elements is likely an illegal lottery, and should be re-structured to eliminate one or more of these elements.

(1) Consideration.
Consideration can take the form or payment, purchase, or expenditure of time or effort.
Although it has moved away from this position, Florida originally held Internet access fees constitute consideration, and thus any online contest or sweepstakes involves consideration. Other states may hold
that Internet access constitutes consideration.
(i) Alternate means of entry. Offering an alternative means of entry that is free (e.g. entry via postcard or toll free call) in an online contest or sweepstakes may eliminate the element of consideration.
Online entries and entries by alternate means must have the same opportunity to win.
(2) Chance. The majority view under federal and state law holdsthat in a contest that involves both chance and skill, courts will look to whether chance is the “dominant element.” In states that follow the minority view, if the contest has any element of chance, it is an illegal lottery if consideration and prize are also present.

1.Consideration met by forcing people to beg for clicks in order to participate in auctions.
2. No alternative mean of entry.
3.Auctions held without schedule introduce element of chance.

Furthermore, there is no mention of odds for each prize.

PS I was told to post this here by a moderator.

Mallisin if you really don't see how asking someone to click a link is different from hijacking someone's browser and MAKING it click a link without any one's consent, then you really shouldn't be allowed to date without a chaperone. Wouldn't want you to get confused about what permission is and end up in jail.

There's no need to insult. It didn't "hijack" anyone's browser, and I'm not arguing it was okay. If they said it was wrong when it was discovered, the issue would be moot. If they reversed the exact number of tokens gained, there would be no contention.

They did neither. Therefore this is not a contest of skill.

Winners are randomly selected. We have had one person win 6 of the 17 challenges so far (we are on 18 now,
but have not seleted winners yet) but this is pretty odd. Many people have won 2-4 times. Twittering an answer in each challenge definitely improves your odds. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/smile.png[/smilie]

But you keep trying to compare a token exchange list to the image trick, as if it is the same thing, and it is clearly not, whether you chose to view it as hijacking or not, it is still removing all consent.

I thought the shirts and posters were going to go for less. Was kinda shocked that the first things went for 10k.
Also at least I was not the only one having troubles with having to use twitter for this. I hate the site but I finally signed up yesterday to do some challenges. I feel so dirty....bleh.

Hmmm it looks like unless you got a good head start it's not going to be possible to get much if anything. Unfortunate. Still gonna try
