I don't understand. Why make everyone excited beforehand and then tell this is for U.S. residents only? Did you WANT to make everyone else feel disappointed? I thought BioWare would treat its fans better.
EDIT: And no, it's not about the fact that you're only including fans from a certain area. That's reasonable and completely understandable for a number of reasons. What irritates me is that FIRST you got everyone's hopes up and THEN told that most of us aren't eligible.
It's not BioWare's fault for that rule. It's US law that contests must be limited to US only...evil, I know, but BioWare can't evade that unless they want a lawsuit on their hands...

Then they could have annoucned it that way along side the count downs instead of this "last minute complications" after people started complaining...... if it indeed is US law.

This really didn;t come off as a reward to the fans but a dissapointment to those who are fans but don't have the time/wherewithal to 'cheat'.
A much better implementation would have been to not allow the referral link click program, and just used game registration etc points (and contests) and then allowed everyone to 'bid' points in a silent auction system where the number of points you bid were your number of entries received for that item and a random selection was done at the end of the day/week/whatever.
At least then everyone would have had a chance. As it is, the very largest majority of your loyal fans and customers are sitting with @ 6000-7000 points while those who have abused the system are able to bid 12000+ and growing each day as they create more 'unique' clicks for themselves.

They said that a lot of people had 2-4 wins in the contest which would equal and additional 1000-2000 points over the 6400 that is easily attainable. With that the average would be somewhere around 9k. I've only seen two items go for less than that. The vast majority over 10-11k indicating that people have an insane amount of referral clicks.
What still really bugs me is them grouping 2000+ items into only 400 auctions. So instead of 2000 people winning one item only 400 win multiple items. Kinda lame IMO.

But you keep trying to compare a token exchange list to the image trick, as if it is the same thing, and it is clearly not, whether you chose to view it as hijacking or not, it is still removing all consent.
They're pyramid schemes, sponsored by Bioware who closes any competitors. Those who participated in those threads have dominated EVERY computer auction and the laptop auction.
