I suspect they were thinking about waffles. I know when I am thinking about waffles I make a mess of what ever I am doing at the time.

Addiction, you are ALWAYS thinking about waffles... so does that mean you are always making a mess of things?

No matter what country, people will bring the pitch forks and slay their loved one's for free ****.

The amount of "personal betrayal" being posted here is laughable. Do you like their games? That is all that matters. Not FREE ****.

So stop being a bunch of emo's because you don't get a chance to win a hat.

So would the hype have been better if it was available for all countries? Or is it the fact that it is an auction instead of a new game or something that pisses you off? And even then stfu lol At least don't throw the blame on bioware with some sob stories, its pathetic.

But what would i know, i haven't registered my games yet! Therefor i am not a TRUE fanboy

This hole situation is perfectly described by two DOW quotes:

1. Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment

2. There is no such thing as innocence, only degrees of guilt

A celebrative collector's DLC? job.

A good and awesome idea. A free DLC for ME and DA. In DA it could have been a Carnival with silly stuff you could buy and some mini carneval games. Same for ME but with the addition that the bought stuff could show up as a trophy in your quarters.

Thats an excellent point, but like I said, Blizzard is a heavily international company, and their US contests are not open to Europe.

Same goes for EA.

And BEHOLD I found a Blizzard contest, only open to European countries.
http://www.wow-europ...nware-2010.html

At the same time there is a similar blizzard contest for north america, but to is not open europeans, blizzard simply has the funds to create two contests like that.

And BW/EA should have done that also.

As I said before. I wouldn't care as much if it was just a simple event. But they made this for their 15th birthday. And they didn't care enough to make an event that everybody (most) could take part in.

You miss the point.

I would elaborate but your are obviously some sort of moronic troll without any registered games.

LOL Moronic Troll with no registered games? Are you serious man? Because i haven't registered my games makes me less of a person?

And you call me moronic?

All i was saying is that if you are a fan of bioware, acting like a bunch of little kids who didn't get to put a quarter in the ****ing plastic ring deposit is just gross.

I mean, a bet a lot of you guys here have posted on the forums A LOT and shown tons of support for the games and developer, and this is the changing point? Not getting free ****?

Grow the **** up. Life isn't fair, for all you know there will be an auction next week for your home town.

So just chill the **** out, And if defending the Developers for which this community is based on makes me a troll, so be it. <3<3<3

Deare troll,

it has nothing to do with getting free stuff, if you would actually read the posts in the thread.  People are angry because this was advertised on multiple international sites ads an "epic community event" and is apparently biowares way of "Thanking thier fans for 15 years"

Limiting this to parts of the US only implies that people outside of the US don't matter to bioware at all, they are not part of the community or fans.

It is the same as me sending out an open invitation for all of my friends to come to a party, then standing at the door and telling someone I have known for 15 years to get off my lawn they aren't invited

If you are too stupid to understand this, that is fine, I'm not wasting any more time on your idiocy.

I too want to express my disappointment in this marketing event.  If legal restrictions result in a very restricted 'community,' why bother with the event when a very large portion of your customers and fan base must be excluded.  A great example of how a company can garner poor public relations.

Exactly what I was thinking. I can understand the legal restrictions and stuff but calling this Epic? The only thing EPIC about it is FAIL!

And while @biofeed is having fun on Twitter with the US residents there... (going to block those frakkers!)

We, the rest of the world, have fun with these!

Image IPB----fits the situation.

Also as for the WoW stuff---I do stand corrected and concede that specfic argument. But it still supports my point that Blizzard, which is an internation company, uses differnet regions because its to much effort to try and use one time events for an international community. Same goes for servers, patches etc. My info was outdated with that previous WoW argument.

With something like EA backing them Bioware should have been able to create another, more international contest. But seeing as this is the first time Bioware has done something like this--auction based contest thing-- (As far as I know), then in future years it will most likely gain a larger global spread.

That's very dramatic, very whiny, and very overstated.

What it implies is that the legal issues of contests that span different countries, and the difficlties of international shipping were more important than your feelings.

The fact that the above statement is coming from "Sloth of Doom" makes my day haha

Read my above this one.

Or don't. I am just a stupid person with no registered games haha. :alien: I think this is the only FAN site where i have been labeled a TROLL for defending what the FAN site is built around. That is the irony. And i didn't realize this was advirtised on multiple international sites. But if they are not direct Bioware sites, what did you expect them to do?

And i still think you guys are puting too much weight of Bioware's  shoulders, and regardless the fact is that they are giving away thousands of dollars of good for free.

Oh and life isn't fair... and then you die.

When i was in grade school, there were class fundraisers and whichever class raised the most got to go on a trip. Well, our class worked out asses off after school and were in the lead until one of the rich kids in another class had his parents pay enough money to take the lead the last day.

Learned my lesson long ago. (if you aren't getting the slight humor LOL)

It is just funny how incredibly enraged you all are. Relax, take a deep breath. Bioware has made great games and isn't that what we come to this site for? Many developers post "big announcements" to raise hype.

Cliffy B from EPIC GAMES stated there was a HUGE announcement coming in the next couple of days... it was Marcus Fenix from Gears of War playable in Lost planet 2.

Was that what fans wanted? No. Was there a LOT more misleading implications than here, YES.

I love Bioware's games, and i support them as a fan.

Good day!:wizard:

No, it isn't overstated at all.  Since they obviously knew it was going to be a US only event, they could have easily called it a "Special Event for our US fans!" or something similar, and NOT pissed off the majority of the world.

I actually did create my account today, to see what the token system was because you had to register. I am active on general gaming community so i don't have time to come to developer specific sites that much. But Bioware is one of my favorite developers... but that doesn't matter right? I mean, even if i have played there games for YEARS, if i haven't had an account on this site for a long time, i am not worthy!

Please read my above post and flame me!!! PLEASE! haha

I could put "Bioware makes great games" as a post and people would flame it in blind anger.
