Can this only be crafted into a longsword or a 2h sword?

The one I found is at the Soldier's Peak (or whatever its called ).

Not sure if there is another though

I got the CE guide from Prima. Is that the ore from where the boy and meteor are? You can take that ore to the weapon maker at Soldier's Peak and he'll supposedly make you a kick *** sword.

I have the longsword the smith at the soldier's peak made me and it does kick ass. It's called starfang and has 3 slots for enchantments.

There's also another smith in denerim at the marketplace that can make armor out of dragon scales.  I'm not sure if he can make sword or not though.

Nope just Longsword or 2h...though to be honest it is good but it depends on your class..and what you are going of...For an Arcane warrior..the Spell Weaver sword is alot better in my opinion..so I gave it to Alistair...but it is pretty good, and looks cool too.
