There's a lot of spell damage out there, be it from direct damage spells like Fireball, to abilities like Flame Weapon. The question becomes, how do spell% damage modifiers actually work? What happens if both the caster of Flame Weapon and the recipient have +Fire damage%?
My questions mainly revolve around the Rune of Amplification:
If I put three Runes of Amplification in my Spirit Warrior's armor, does his damage go up by 15%?
What about his weapon as it is enchanted by Flame Weapon, does the Flame Weapon effect do 15% more damage?
What about the Mage if he has Elemental Mastery active, does that increase the damage of the Flame Weapon enchant the Warrior receives?
The second questions revolve around how spell % damage increase works:
Do abilities like Elemental Mastery effect Flame Weapon for other party members?
Does my "Ring of +20% fire damage" effect Flame Weapon?
I'd love a Bioware response--doing trial and error da on Darkspawn faces seems to yield inconsistent numbers, lol.
Rune of Amplification, and spell % damage, how does it work?

+5% damage takes the total damage and adds 5%, easy. It has no affect on Flame weapons, that is only modified by spellpower, it is also capped but I can't rememeber the exact cap.
Elemental mastery works in the same way.
If I remember correctly all rune damage is converted to spirit damage so it should only add spirit damage, which is better as it has 100% armour pen.
