So, since I doubt any amount of griping and moaning will change the status quo for this particular contest (it might impact future ones), how about we start making a list of ideas as to how those excluded from the Auction, or those that just flat-out don't win anything ( live in NY, myself), can use their tokens.

And please label whether the suggestion is serious or kidding :P.  It's always hard to tell on the 'net.

Serious - In-Game swag (whether for Gold in DA or Credits in ME), coupons for DLC (at the rate of ~1000 tokens per dollar off).

Joking - Canadian Bacon.  It's only fair!

They should have just given those that registered their games, bioware points for future DLC. That also would keep in line with EA's strategy of getting people to buy the games new. I don't believe DLC would be considered a cash value prize so everyone would be able to use it, not just those in the US.

I'd like an apology in exchange for them. You know, for getting our hopes up with something that turned out to be a viral marketing scheme...

And i can't decide whether that's a joke answer or not

Bumping this thread, since it's not actually whining - it's meant as a way to give constructive alternatives to those who are ineligible and/or uninterested in participating in the Auctions, in terms of what to do with these Tokens.

In game stuff, redeemable for Bioware points at some ratio, soundtrack music etc.

Let's get some more posts going - give the good folks at BioWare some ideas to redeem themselves in the eyes of those that were shunned due to legal reasons :)

I would love to be able to redeem them for DLC and what-not.

Bumping this thread, so maybe it'll get some BioWare love, rather than the whiny ones :).

Well as this round of auctions is only the beginning and people excluded from the auctions will get other events, there will be opportunities for non-USians (and NYers and Floridians) to use their tokens.

I'm fond of the coupons for free DLC would be cool. I don't see it happening as they'd be losing ALOT of money, but it would definitely be cool of them.

Maybe we could use them for pre-order DLC? It's not actually costing them anything so win-win right?

I didn't know trolls liked tokens. I'll take note.

Attracting internet dust bunnies. :wizard: Who then turn into vorpal internet dust bunnies, and eat e-knights from Camelot.

Or you could tell people who can participate that you'd give them yours, but wait! It's impossible.

And.. Buying Canadian bacon with tokens? You don't happen to be from WNY, do you? I'm not sure how commonly people know about Canadian bacon. (I'm also from NY. Alas, my tokens are useless as well.)
