Han shot first. Lucas just wanted to forget what kind of man Solo was at that point in the story when he rereleased the original trilogy. Honestly, wanting to change his character to make him seem nicer? <_<

Pretty sure Han shot first for almost 2 decades before Lucas decided to "make the trilogy better"

Han shot first. He had to or Greedo would have killed him. I don't know why Lucas felt he had to change that.

lol nice. I hope Lucas doesn't see this or he might decide to add it to the Trilogy.

This is pretty much true. In the old version, I didn't see Greedo get anything off at all. But in the new version, I'm pretty sure that I did see Greedo got it off, and it looks like it was at either the same time, or Greedo shot and missed Han first.

Actually, now that I think about it, I think I remember reading a novel that depicted this scene from a different character's viewpoint, and it said that Greedo would have taken down Han, but Greedo had a problem with mishap rolls.

Han shot first, no matter how much Lucas wants to violate the original trilogy.

Yeah. Honestly, I don't understand why most of the changes were made. I suppose there must've been some reason, but...

Han shot first because if he doesn't he just looks like a punk who got lucky and nobody wants that except George Lucas.

I read somewhere when they rereleased Starwars in theaters back in the 90s they had a focus group, and one of the things that they decided was to change that sceen because they said it made Han look cold blooded. Whatever Lucas.
