Yes. Because those very species (and individuals), that think Cerberus is evil, will not want to die, when the Reapers knock at the door.

I suffer Cerberus out of necessity.

I am disgusted and dismayed by my former allies for placing me in such an unpalatable position, and making that necessity possible. By choice I would not associate with them.

I recognize that Cerberus is a mixed organization containing individual members who may be good people with good motives akin to my own, who do not deserve blame for Cerberus's darker past deeds.

I know, deep down, that these people are only unfortunate cogs in a wheel whose true and intended goal is power over all other things, and at any price.

It is only that Cerberus knows that in order to achieve power, one must first survive - this is why they help me.

Using that kind of semantics to prove your point will make it valid to use the dialogue with Jacob  IN THE VERY BEGINNING OF THE GAME as absolute proof of my "Cerberus = part of the Alliance" theory:

Jacob: ~~we're working for Cerberus.
Shepard: Cerberus? I think I ran into some of their projects when I was investigating Saren. They are some sort of pro-human spliter group.
Jacob: That's what the Alliance wants people to believe.

So do you concede I am right on that one?

Also, by the rules of logic, "Not as evil, as you think", might imply "Not evil at all" as well as "evil, but not very" (which you're trying to pull here, I think).

Logic > Semantics.
