Do we consider other people from other countries, Community Members? Or are they just people who are there?  I am rather curious, because they keep asking questions but yet they cannot be involved in the Epic Community Event....should we get a Special Status because we are Americans?

Bioware, American Owned ^_^

Nah this is just going to cause WW3 and it will be all your fault.

By WW3 I mean everyone against America(not including New York and Florida they're against America too).

Let Florida fall, make the refugees traverse onto Canadian soil while we reinforce New York City. Florida is too weak a strategic point because of it's storms and New York is large enough that the Bioware Community Members won't be able to use their swag to detect us.

It is a sad day when a Canadian company excludes Canadians from a contest. A lot of people buy every Bioware game that comes out BECAUSE they are a Canadian company...this is just beyond dissapointing

Seriously I don't get how people haven't figured this **** out.

Countries have different contest rules. It happens. Don't like it then write a representative and try to get rules changed. It makes the most sense for Bioware to pick America since thats going to be where most of the people are.

You guys always act like they gave you the middle finger or something.

And all these years I thought I was buying their games because they made some of the best games...

@Jalem:
It is not so much about the fact that it is only the most of the US that can participate but this 'event' was supposed to be an epic event and it was considered to be something of interest for everyone. So us fools, who do not live in the named states, were hoping for something epic or at least cool from the company that we have supported and enjoyed. (This Bazaar thingy seems to be more like EA than BW though.)

(Smashes mousebutton while on the Submit button in the edit screen.. *why won't you work*)

So a lot of us wonder why they didn't do something else or at least something that was available for everyone. Hell, if we had received an interesting little vid - in which the actual BW characters would give interviews about their experiences in the games (which would have been available for everyone) I would have been happy.
Sure, it's sad that I can't win anything as much as I'd like to, but I wouldn't feel as neglected and betrayed as I do.
I hope that makes sense.

Slight issue. NY is discluded as well.

And this is when I'd actually rather be a Canadian. Alas, I live 30 minutes from the border and NY has weird tax laws. Therefore we can't join in.

I get that, but even if we take your suggestion into account can you imagine what people of said? "This is it? We get a one week countdown for...interviews? Pretty lame Bioware." followed by conversation on how Bioware sucks these days, and how they're showing a habit of over-promising and under-delivering.

Most people were expect the announcement of a game or something, but an auction where I'm not actually spending my own money is a pretty big deal. Is it a bit misleading to suggest its a community event when it leaves out a certain percentage of people? Yep. But any sort of giveaway is going to have that problem, and giveaways are a great way to get people excited about something. In this case they just want to encourage excitement over Bioware and the social networking site.

I will agree with the point that you can't make it right for everyone. That's just how it is. There are people who can participate and still say it is 'lame'. I am not that ignorant and I am aware of that.

My suggestion wasn't meant as only a vid or whatever. I suppose what I am trying to say is that the hype wasn't worth the result (at least for me and many others.) I guess I would have liked at least some kind of 'consolation prize' - which could have been a vid or a small DLC or an awesome trailer or what-not.
It really isn't so much about the Bazaar itself but simple the fact that we get left behind - there is nothing at-all for the millions of European players and maybe we take it so hard because we are just getting tired of it.

I know exactly what I mean but I am not sure if I could put it in an understandable way.
Maybe: if we can't get a slice of the cake - at least give us the crumbs.

Which state will we attack first?

Nah I understand what you're saying and understood it before. There's a hype and we got something, and you got to watch us be excited. I just don't like how people overreact, like Bioware set out to hurt them.

No Bioware is not a Canadian Company anymore, remember? They merged with Bono's Pandemic Studios then pandemic studios opened the lines to EA because they wanted to be bought out by EA. Then EA bought Pandemic studios in which they layed everyone at pandemic studios off because they just wanted Bioware so now Bioware is an American Company owned by Americans.

Hehe - there is the problem. We didn't watch you getting excited - we did get excited before we were pushed in the cold water.

It wasn't very diplomatic...

Ah well... one day...

I don't understand why Europe, Australia, Canada, New York, and Florida are excluded. There has to be good legal issues as to justify this.

I can't complain because it means better chances for me, but at the same time I feel bad for those that are excluded. I guess for once it is good I no longer live in New York.

BioWare did have a contest for only Canadians but that makes sense as they are a canadian developer. This probably has a lot to do with EA and the sponsors as well as legal issues for auctions in states and nations.

New York is extremely Liberal and fully run (For now) by the Democratic Party. Most places and people are moving out in droves, taxes are insane...It's almost impossible to do buisness. You have the thought police telling you what and what not to eat. And they want it illegal for you in New York by Order of the Most Liberal Progressive Democratic Party to own, buy or eat salt.

Oh to make matters worse, if you go out of state shopping or on vacation, the state of New York by Order of the Democratic Party want to know what you bought and also tax you for the items you bought out of state.

It's like New York is a completely different country, soon you'll have to go through New York Customs.  All Highways in New York are Restricted meaning if you break down on the Thruway or most Highways even if you know a Tower, have a tower or have a Motor Club which can cover your tow the state has to come tow you're vechile and if found it will be towed without your permission for whatever fees the state requires.

This also happens in New Jeresy and in and around the city of Houston where the Democratic Party have taken control thanks to people moving to places like Houston and Flordia from the Rust belt where the people they voted in office who ruined the local economy in their home state now they go elsewhere because its a **** hole they move to these booming cities or states and vote in the same people who ruined there old area or state.

Oh thats some advice to for those breaking down in New York, some parts of New Jeresy (Turnpike) or the City in Texas controlled by the Democratic Party Houston.  So if you break down, have a flat regardless you get towed and they have state vechiles that run up and down the highways that will remove you're vechile regardless of you're coverage.

Before Woo closes down this topic because the genius above me decided to go on a political rant, I'd just like to say....

I thought you all already knew? America (minus Florida and New York) is apparently the awesome-est ever. I mean, come on right? /sarcasm

Anyone have any idea if it would be possible to have your prize sent to a friend in an eligible state? Or would they check your citizenship or something in a contest like this?
