What is the actually WORTH of a token?  how am i supposed to know how much to bid on something... is 1000 tokens enough to bid on a laptop, or enough to bid on a bust of commander shepard?

When it comes to the big prizes, you might be looking at somewhere in the 15k+ token range, for the smaller ones, they might find a winner with around 8-10k tokens. Hard to tell, but I think those are fair estimates.

How much to bid? Wild guessing, really.  But if you really, really want a computer, bear in mind that there's going to be at least enough people hoarding every single point and dropping every single point they've earned on JUST a computer auction, so... the approximate point value of a computer is "all of them".

Prize list doesnt really help, they just list actual monetary values.

Twitchmonkey 's reply is not something i would have liked to hear....to get 15k tokens you would need 500 tokens a day for the links, all the game registries, the DA character creation, and winning the challenges regularly. Its possible, but i find it somewhat unlikely that a lot of people will have that much.

A lot of people won't, but a few people might, and I think there is a good chance that some of them will be putting all their tokens on a chance to win a computer. It's one of those things that you shouldn't even think about trying for unless you're in the top .01% and are willing to go all-in.

Edit: I still foolishly plan to go for either one of the laptops or one of the ME2 computers though.

Yeah... it doesn't take a lot of people with 15k tokens to make the computers that expensive, it only takes 10. (counting laptops)

*sigh* so high for the better items, and I don't have time to troll the internet for unique clicks.

It's an auction, so the value of a token depends on how many tokens people have amassed by the time the bidding starts.

Nothing wrong with going for what they want with all their chips. I personally will be shoveling my 10k+ tokens at the Mass Effect Collectors computer and/or Xbox. Mostly because I already bought all the other swag with real life money. *tear* I even own all the ME Lithographs.... except for the Citadel and Illium. The very two that I can't bid on since they aren't in the contest. *sob* I even missed out on the Citadel 180 prints they found magically last week. *cry*

I just want the Mass Effect Artbook. Maybe the Penny Arcade Prize-Pack. But, in the end, I just want to win something. I'd even settle for a mug. haha

there are multiples of almost all the prizes, too. It'll still be really hard to get a computer, you'll have to do a LOT of recruit linking and win some twitter contests. But getting a poster may not be too hard.

They don't have a stated worth as they're for an auction.

This is what I was thinking.  The actual value of the tokens really depends on the final number people are able to collect.

If people are running around with 50,000 tokens by the end of this and you only managed to get 10,000, then it's a very big difference if the highest someone manages is 25,000, and you have 10,000.
