Seriously I spent a whole week going "wow BioWare's really had me by the short hairs the last several years this must be an awesome thing coming"....only to see a weak ass shark marketing ploy that is ridiculous to even bother involving yourself with even if you are eligible.
I don't give a damn about your Tweets, I don't give a damn about your merchandising. All I care about are the games you make.
Baldur's Gate, KoToR, NWN, Mass Effect, Dragon Age: Origins, Mass Effect 2, and soon The Old Republic.
The rest of the gimcrackery can go hang.
So, in conclusion, unless you can somehow further embaress yourselves and top this PR clusterfluck you've gotten into, because at least the backlash is entertaining to read,....seriously....STFU and go work on the goddamn games.
I pulled EA out of my portfolio today, going to look for somewhere better to put the money...and I took a slight loss doing so but such is life.
Might start diversifying to publically traded smaller companies, I'm already invested in the engine builders of the industry, Epic and Id and Valve....I thought backing EA would be a good move with TOR around the corner and it probably is, but this is just pure stupidity and unlike the usual consumer I don't vote with my wallet I vote with my broker.

It had better be Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age 2, full fledged controllable sexual intercourse with all potential love interests as a patch, or the RETURN OF CHRIST HIMSELF related.

Lynch mob against EA!
I won't participate in it personally, but they are located in Los Angeles, California right on the corner of streets Lincoln and Jefferson. I used to hang out outside they're lawn where friend lives.

Besides, we already know they are working on ME3, DAO2, etc. Just by reading interviews or listening to interviews that is pretty well known. We don't need some formal announcement.

And pulling out of a stock because of emotional discontent? You must be one of the worst investors ever.

You are full of BS. You can't invest in Valve, id, or Epic. They are privately held companies.
Ahh but you can, I'm sure since you know they're privately held companies, you would also know how I've got money behind them.

I do well enough. EA's actually been dropping in value, as I said I took a loss pulling out. To be honest I probably should have pulled out right around Spore, but...I figured Sims 3 would make up for that.

Ah, so, you invest in the private equity firms behind these companies? You must be some sort of millionaire, then. PM me about how you invest in such companies; I would like to know - as long as you are not BSing me.

So you like being an advertising goon for EA/BioWare in order for the chance to get free stuff?IamDanThaMan wrote...
You're complaining about Bioware giving away Free stuff? I guess next time don't get your hopes up so high, but I am stoked for this.
Maybe it's a good thing that the rest of the world (and New York/Florida) are ineligible then.

Yes I know just saying it would at least be more ground breaking or actually create some level of interest/debate.

They did say community event.
But bioware should of said it only involves the US!!! their-bad!
if it was a annoucement of anynew game they would of shown it at some event (E3 etc) or if your doing a countdown, it would of taken up the whole screen like gow/mgs.
