From what I've heard, all 4 auto saves ARE in the mine - if you didn't know this glitch was possible, you'd quite possibly do one once you're in, not outside as you have to if the bug happens. If you do the mine late in the game, it's really, really annoying. (as, incidentally, was going back to the beginning because you did Law & Order & now can't get Sigrun's quest)
exactly..I keep several saves.....Keep (was Camp in DA:O)....Dungeon...Town...and a Quicksave..all self explanatory...plus the auto-saves.
now how was I to know this glitch even existed...I mean...I guess it is my fault for thinking the programmers were competant? that's the ONLY way it's my fault.
and my OP was overboard I realize..but that **** was the final straw....so many goddamn lazy, stupid, inexcusable bugs with this abortion expansion (like now having to run on only 1 core..slowing the game down thanks to their wonderful 1.3 (or 1.03?) patch that they can't even ACKNOWLEDGE has problems....not getting my 3rd spec point at 22...tactics not working right (my mage has enemy->nearest class->mage->mana clash...and the idiot is casting it randomly on any mob regardless of it's "class"...not to mention other bugs with quests in this ****ing expansion....but THIS **** tops it all....and is inexcusable.

Be glad is was only 3 hours I wasted 6 hours running around trying to figure something out and only after I exhausted everything possible 3 different times did I find out it was a glitch and I had to resort to a save from the day prior
Me too and my wife was even more unhappy as I hogged the PC for the whole weekend just to get back to where I was

You also can't get it, apparently, if you got the 100% approval glitch.
I was at 34, couldn't stand it, & started my mage & warrior over - I wanted her in those parties. I left it alone on my rogue, since she wasn't in the party for him. But yes, it's pretty frustrating.
eta: The problem is, you'll undoubtedly go to Amaranthine first, & those are the first quests you'll see. I can't imagine anyone wouldn't grab one of them. Therefore, you have to be informed here to avoid it. Why they don't have a notice on their 'news' blurb when you load the game, I don't know. They should also have a warning & tips for the Mine glitch. Those are the worst. (I get the approval one on Velanna, Sigrun & Justice, but it doesn't bother his personal quest - no idea why.)

Thanks for the Sighrun update, I always do the Law & Order quest first so stuffed this time around. Do you know where to find Kristoff's wife for Justice? Have searched high and low!!!!

The OTHER problem is that you can get the 100% glitch just by your first automatic chat with them. (Justice does that) I solve Sigrun's by immediately respeccing her, then testing her with a present. If she doesn't get the glitch, I then head back to the city, do her quest (bump into the dwarf, go back to the keep, she talks, go back to the inn & it resolves - you get an extra 6+ if you give gold rather than the ring) - but you have to know to avoid the Law & Order one.
I also solve the 'Velanna can't join' by getting her, going back to the keep right away, & not completing the mines until everyone has done the joining. (or not using her at all - it makes no difference)

Oh FFS now I've wasted 3 days on this, and I'm gonna have to start completely over from the beginning. I'm done, I got better things to do with my time, I'll cont. to check back to see if things ever get fixed.

k...guess I'm new enough .... where can I get a list of all the glitches and work arounds? I'm still having trouble getting "Log-In" from the game screen (just dial-up available 2 me) and all I get is a reply "you are currently not connected to the Internet. When you are reconnected...." when I AM connected to the internet before I start the game.... somewhat frustrating.... and you say there's even more good times ahead !?! ... (are the programers possibly from Microsoft?)
There should be one - I don't know if it, though.
My son had troubles on his - it turned out to be a Windows 7/ DA problem. I put his computer back to Vista ( sigh) and everything is ok now. I spent hours on the phone before someone at Dell realized this, & informed me. Does anyone know how much I hate hearing 'Lollipop, lollipop??" Anyway... now I must take time to breathe, too!!!

scour the internet and spoil EVERYTHING so we know the proper order to do **** to minimize the bugs.....GREEEEAAAAT.
if you're QA guys still work for you you NEED to fire their asses....followed by perhaps a few programmers as well.

it was so riddled with glitches and bugs that Sierra did a TOTAL RECALL of the game because it was too much work to fix..and we never saw another FPS football game afterwards...it killed it.
perhaps that's what you need to do Bio...recall this ****ing abortion and give us our refunds...
oh wait you'd never do that..sitting too pretty after we gave you our $$ aren't ya.

because it's not the firewall...the person you talked too probably doesn't even own a computer...much less ever met an actual EA employer.

and how do you even come to that conclusion?
I have a manual save in the dungeon..a quick save..and 4 auto saves.....followed by one at the keep before I went to the woods and one the last time I was in a town.
that's more then enough saves to fall back on....except when you run into idiotic and shoddy glitches like this in a game that obviously shouldn't have been released yet.
but nice try trolling.

After seeing Kristoff (Justice) at the Keep she will run to the Chantry temple in the city. You have to enter the room she is in. The tab key will not highlight her. It is the room all the way across the temple from the Revered Mother's bedroom.Kendar Fleetfoot wrote...

That's not a fair assumption, every RPG I've ever played I've lived off of auto saves and quick saves, I've never had the need to make individual titled saves. Apparantly in DA:A it's become a damn requirement.
