It doesn't bother me that much, also, it's been historically proven America is better than all the other countries nobody cares about.

Yea, we're better than everyone.. even tho we have a president that has no idea what he's doing (due to lack of political experience), has a national debt in the TRILLIONS, has potential life-saving drugs that are illegal and yet cigarettes and alcohol are not only legal but easily accessible, is still buying foriegn oil while our oil rigs across the country are rusting from lack of use (also adding to our debt), and just passed a bill forcing its citizens to use crappy healthcare insurance provided by the government or be fined (which is also going to cost another few billion dollars to the debt).. Yea, other than all that, we are better than the rest of the planet...

While I'm just as disappointed and disgruntled as anybody else who's been cut out of this competition, I have to say that this kind of behaviour is not unusual in the world of online marketing and competitions. The costs involved in extending a competition to multiple countries and dealing with the maddening tangle of specific regional laws regarding contests and games of chance (many countries have laws or restrictions against 'gambling', even if no item of true monetary value is actually being wagered) is extensive enough that it's usually far more cost effective to just exclude those regions. Ultimately the decision probably just came down to a question of, "Can we afford this?" And the answer was "No."

Like PG though, my main source of disappointment in Bioware was the unsaid expectation that this awesome community event would be available to everyone who was a member of said community. Nobody likes to have their hopes shattered. It would have been better if you'd just sprung the announcement on us from the start.

Good luck to everyone who's entering the contest though.

A mature and well thought-out post. I concur.

More fool me for not reading fine print before grabbing a twitter account (which i'll likely never use) and collecting tokens, (of which i now have 6.5k)  for an event I cannot participate in.    T^T

This was the only thing listed that was worth typing.. And in some parts of the country, it's not worth bragging about.

None of them were American, and if they were, it still doesn't count.
Also, Obama brought hope, not just to America but everywere.
He's an IPOD generation president, for the people.

If they were, I bet they could have proved it. More than I can say about someone else.. How about next time, we vote based on the candidates political stance rather than his skin color.. Sounds like a good idea, right?

I can't however respect being lied to by a company I've supported for many years!

LOL. Women show their faces in many more countries than the US and that was not of your inventions.

You cherish that you have a "black" president, when he is not the first or the last, yet you cannot manage to get a female president. Are you sure you want to appoint such obvious shortcoming of your country as proof of superiority?

I'm from Britian, we had Margaret Thatcher, she nearly ran the country into the ground. History has also proven (factually), woman old an unattractive should never be allowed to rule. Attractive female leaders such as President Yuliya Timoshenko do a superior job, currently Ukraine has started no wars (recently).

You should change your name to RUBBISH TROLL. Pityfully uninformed, racist and sexist one at that.

Blaming Thatcher for bankrupting UK is hilarious, given she inherited a 4 day week with 80% tax! The Brain Drain was not of her creation, it was the result of the intervention of those who believe in "envy politics". Pretty much like Obama

Pretty much everything I have said is indisputable, there is a reason the Tory's went out of power for so long. Now that I have won this battle of wits, let's move on.

Spot on Fexy Posted Image   What really is amazing to me, is how many people still hold Obama in high regard in the first place. Here's a guy who's whole campaign message was transparecy and no big government, yet his administration is not at all transparent and he's shown that he's 100% for government getting even more larger and bloated than it already is.

Everything that you have said demonstrates a lack of understanding and/or education. You have tried to phrase your statements as indisputable by making obvious remarks as "America is the first country to have a black American President" as if that was relevant to anything when then attempting to highlight this as some sort of "racism is overthrown and Obama is hope!" propaganda.

Sorry, you don't win and you are running quite far behind the second-to-last, so you better get studying.

The thread will be locked anyway because people complained about Bioware openly and someone mentioned piracy and was "QFT". We might as well use the chance to thrash out political issues in the meantime.
