The Internet is a borderless space and mechanism that force people apart are wrong.
Iam really hurt that bioware no longer is "the one" who shows the money-grubbers that there is another way.:(

Can you blame them? A lot of people were pretty pissed off by the whole fiasco.

I'm pretty sure we aren't going to get any response and they are going to carry on like it's business as usual.

Of course I blame them. We didn't cause this scandal. They have full responsibility.

If they don't do anything about this then shouldn't we really consider to abandon BioWare? Apperently we are good to milk money from, but we are unfit to be part of the community and not worth an apology.

I really have to think about this.

Does anyone want this?

It seemed like a good idea at the time, but I never got around to posting it, no, it's not my referral code, that's right here:

America saved Russia, if it wasn't for the duke nukem of Japan, they would have done stuff, letting the bad guys win.

I have been asleep for a few hrs, so sorry for the late reply.
Truth be known, the fact that the US bombed a CIVILIAN population and then thinking they are the best because of it is one of the general weights that adds to todays conflicts against the US.

Dont increase the haters against the US, try to realise  that WITHOUT Australian mineral supplies and British designs and manufacturing processes, the US would be speaking Japanese right now. Also, Russian was responsible for draining near 70% of Germanies stratigic might.

This is not about the US. Politics has nothing to do with. This about the community. And it is about how BioWare is treating it.

No they didn't. The russians and their over populated army were the ones that trampled over the germans and caused berlin to fall. The americans merely supplied the russians to aid them in the war.

Really, it took the combined might of so many nations just to take down germany and japan one way or another.

Don't forget that even the US couldn't defeat North Korea and the PLA in the korean war, they didn't lose but they didn't win either, and do remember that we lost the Vietnam war too.

Jepp, ... noone really cares about this being a US-only contest. But this whole event failed bigtimes! This must have been an EA idea, cause I can't imagine someone could pull that amount of fail off without having experience with like CnC4 and such!

It is the de facto declaration that every non US-Resident is not part of their community which fails hard. It could have completely avoided by just declaring this event an "Epic Event" if they wanted to stick with the epic stuff. People would nonetheless be sad about not being able to participate, but this uproar wouldn't have happened.

Right now, the EA/BioWare PR-Branch just shot the Cain in their own face (with Assassination Cloak enabled btw!) and nothing can do anything about it, but an excuse!

And no, declaring this an early Aprils Fools joke would just cause another uproar, because the damage has been done!

An apology is inevitable necessary if they want to clean that mess. I don't request any substitution or the right to participate in those contests because I don't care about this stuff. And just offering us such things without an apology would be an insult too.

Let's face it. They screwed with their community and have to apologize.

I can understand those outside of the US feeling like the're excluded, they should be more angry that Bioware is esentially asking its fanbase to be shills for them in the first place. Why even bother? Its insulting beyond measure.

You misinterpreted my post. I meant, can you blame them for not responding to us?

The internet can be a scary place when you ****** off a bunch of people, especially your customers.

I think this whole situation shows us that disappointment is far more powerful than envy. While I would have been a tad envious of the lucky Americans involved its not the territory restrictions that irritate me its the lack of consideration and general laziness on the companies part.

A simple disclaimer would have sufficed to avoid this situation and kept those not involved interested at the very least.
