If it's an April Fools I wouldn't be surprised by now. I was kinda pissed at first about this whole situation but now I'll just gonna wait what will happen at April 1st.

I really don't care and I am Canadian. I look at it this way. For the Xbox 360 users we got a contest to win a free trip to the Bioware Studios and a free Gamerpic. Yeah, maybe that isn't as many prizes as whats going to be given away in this bazaar but I still could careless.

However, it was handled poorly in that people were getting very excited for this.

However, I don't think there is any company that treats Canadians as poorly as Sony. At least Microsoft and Nintendo has a Canadian division but Sony just lumps us together with the U.S. so we never get any contests. But that is a whole other rant.

I think the biggest insult of this all is that residents of Florida and New York can't even participate.

I don't want to make this a pi.ssing match, but when it comes to getting your ass handed to you by the devs and the like, Australia comes in first be far. Asides, y'know, Africa and places like that.

If anything happens at all. This is just a theory, after all. I guess we'll find out soon.

I don't understand why people are disappointed in this?  The ones that complain the loudest are probably going to be the ones who enter the contests anyway and end up winning one of the bigger prizes. <_<

Bioware doesn't owe us anything but they decided to give everyone the chance to score some good loot.  They could have just made the stuff where you had to actually use real money but no..we all get the chance.

I don't think it's an April Fools joke, simply tis is the way it is.

Still, i tend to agree with an earlier poster that April 1st would be an excellent option for damage control.

Then again, i think this qualifies for the "magnificient Bioware prank" i (sort of) expected. If at the end it turns out to be a planned April Fools joke, i'll applaud Bioware for their greatness.

Wishful thinking much? Maybe, maybe...

Edit: Explaining.

People are upset because not everybody can do this, only the US, without florida and NY.

Also, it was hyped and this is the result.

Ok then. I can see where you are coming from. Let's just hope this doesn't scare Bioware off and they never do anything like this again for the fans. :-S

The best thing they could not now is not to lie about this and say its a april fool event. It would be to simply say sorry. But you know how hard that is for the big corps. It would be like asking them to cut their arm off.

I think another glaring sign of something smelling iffy is the fact that none of the Bioware guys have responded to the rage. Normally, they're quite responsive and pugilistic towards forum whinging. I think they're all sitting back in their swivel chairs having a bloody good laugh.

And if it is an April Fool - I don't want them to apologise!  It's a joke!  It's not like they've done anything truly mean, they've just teased us a bit.  And I'm sure there will be a pay off.  All good pranks end with an 'up' and no doubt BioWare know that.

I am not sure how Bioware managed to screw up this big. I mean, saying this is a community event and then exclude so many people from participating is extremely contradicting.

mmmm uber bad April fool joke? <_<

I find that this was a personal thank you to me, for being such a cool guy.

All of this epic rage and delicious tears ™ has me at the seams.

Ah the deluded fanboy that thinks Bioware can do no wrong, I am sorry to say but this is not an April Fools joke as it was announced 2 days before April 1st which is against the rules of an April Fools prank.

Dont think that we diddnt consider that the countdown could have lead to an April Fools joke, I was already half expecting disappointment and hell I would have prefered an April Fools joke to this bucket of fail, however unfortunately this isnt an April Fools joke but a big "**** you" to the rest of the Bioware fans who arent in the USA.

Everyone?! We all get the chance?! Hmm... so Europe is one of the 50 United States. With the exception of Florida and New York, of course. Didn't know that. Then why do I need a visa to come to North-America, when I could go anywhere in Europe with just my identity card?!

Personally, I would have liked to participate, some of the prizes seem cool. But I can't. And I would have appreciated if this thing would have been promoted only to those it's aimed at (US residents). It's not that hard, just some server side scripts.

If and when Bioware has anything to offer to the entire community, count me in.

Y'know those refferal links? Those basically turn you into an EA adbot. You are making them real money, way more than they lose with the contest, mainly because they save up on paying ad companies.

Meh they cant come out and say its a april fool now. Why? Because they would only hurt them self even more. Because everyone would know they are lying is badly that the only thing missing is a huge sign saying "im lying" that they bash your face with.

I noticed that as well, but I forgot to mention it. Very suspicious... I swear they're hiding something. Posted Image

Yes they are hiding themself. It seem to be a common thing for them to do while trying to figure out a way to do damage controll. But then again the people doing the damage controll are the same people that made this "Epic community event" so we might see another epic fail soon :D

Ha!  I see you're getting in on the Early April Fools action.  That was a good one, I'm still laughing.

The point of April fools, is to actually do it ON April fools day.

If this was suppose to have been an April fools day joke, it would be even more of an epic fail, ha ha.

Can't get the dates right.

Uhm, I'm pretty sure Bioware doesn't handle everything themselves. Unless they have severe financial difficulties and the game developers have to do the marketing campaigns as well.
However, one could get the impression though that the Bioware/EA people are no longer really paying attention to forums any more, which wouldn't be that much of a surprise given the numerous threads containing silly complaints and ridiculous demands for ME3.

You want to know what is really funny? The deluded fanboys trying to convince themselves that Bioware couldnt possibly do anything wrong so it must be an April Fools joke dispite the fact that it was released 2 days too early.

Personally I am not pissed off about the Bazzar as I already suspected that the announcement would be a disappointment, when they finally posted that it was counting down to an "Epic community event" I knew it was going to be a dissapointment.

Besides we Aussie usually get the shaft when it comes to these sort of competitions so I am used to it by now, you Americans have fun with your Bazzar but I do think it is rather rotten that Bioware chose to exclude their fellow Canadians.

The ones spamming every forum on the planet are mindless EA sheep anyways, offer them a free N7 bumper sticker and they'll forget the event even happen.
