I'm right wing, and I reckon fox news is an exercise in failure.

Well you reckon wrong, because Fox News is #1 in cable news rating with their Left Wing counterparts taking a back seat.

'cos they're stupid.

Good reasoning.

I support the concept of right wing media, just not the bullcrap that is fox.

Sure you do.

You do realise that whenever one side has more than one option, their demographic gets split?

Sounds like you're the target audience for fox .. hook and sinker.

Take Monsanto for an example.
While I'm sick of the left wingers giving them crap over every little thing, Fox went to court in order to get the right to deliberately lie to their audience. And they won.
That isn't just stupid, that makes the right wing look bad.

Haha.  Seems you are just as guilty of taking the bait for the other side.
Does Fox News lean right?  Yep
Does CNN, MSNBC lean left? Yep
Isn't most news organizations opinionated in some form or fashion?  Yep

newsflash!  Human beings work for news agencies.

Going to stay out of these political threads from now on...it makes me furious that there are so many easily influenced individuals...on both sides!

On a different note: I like pie.

Dude, you fail at reading ... much like fox fails at news.
I'm right wing. The problem isn't fox leaning right, it's fox being morons.
Leaning right is good. Everyone should do it.

Lean back... lean back... Lean *deep breath* back...

Or should I say lean right?  Nah...

I remember back in the mid-2000s CNN would just have news and would report on world events.  Then the 2008 election process started and the have been going full rage on politcs ever since.  I always hear about them being Left leaning but I swear they **** about whoever is in power at any given time...

You're right, they're very successful at getting stupid people to religiously follow their programming. They fail miserably when it comes to actually reporting the news.
Also yes this is totally old news, was worth a laugh when it happened though.

Well said, Bucky.

If you can't even get Jack Thompson on your side when railing against a video game - yeah, that's embarrassing :P

The left wing no longer has a monopoly on the news, get over it.

It's not about sides. It's about competence.
Yes, there needs to be more right wing viewpoints in the media.
But fox has no credibility.

Let me put it another way.
McCain would have been an awesome president. G. W. Bush was a tool.

Ironically, the same company that owns FOX, also owns IGN.

This TOTALLY does not surprise me.  I suspected a connection, because...

when i saw this "scandal" after ME came out, i thought, "wow, that is the most genius piece of marketing ever, because:

a) people who freak out over there being 'sex' in a video game are likely not gamers. they are less likely to realize that there ARE ratings on these things, they typically have content filters OR the ability to choose what you're watching and (once i found out it was a bioware game) they're typically story-driven LIs that are in keeping with the story.

and

B) people who do game will either

1) want to check it out for themselves because of the idea of seeing boobies

2) want to check it out for the purposes of intellectual curiousity and because they want to investigate the claims of the 'news' for themselves

3) realize it's a bioware game and think w00t! another bioware game where there are love interests. gimme, gimme!"

any way you slice it, the (mass) effect (ha ha!) is that people who are not going to game WON'T buy it and will forget about it in a few days as yet another case of our society becoming full of filth and people who ARE going to game will keep the name rolling around in their heads for a week and then go check out the website, say, "ooh, hey, blue alien sex aside, that looks like a really friggin' awesome shooter/RPG game."

or, you know, maybe you bought it because of the blue alien sex. but either way, MARKETING GENIUS.

Sorry, I read quite well, and you stating that Fox is full of "morons" just proves my point.
Everyone has an opinion, and it seems, some don't mind sharing theirs.

Hey! We both like Mass Effect though yes? ;)

Well, see, the problem with Fox is that their perception of reality involves communist goblins and homosexual agendas to overthrow the "traditional family".

Their are two sides to everything.
One can also say that the problem with CNN and MSNBC is that their perception of reality involves the assault on the 2nd amendment rights of Americans and the overthrow of traditional families.

Ah, but the difference is, when there's a viewpoint that is backed up by facts, it's credible.
Fox has opinions.

Uhh, they clearly do not, seeing as they had to go to court in order to get the green light to air a program that's full of lies.

They have opinion shows, I think all TV news have those.  O'Reilly, Beck,
Hannity, lets see Hardball (is that still on?), Olbermann, a litany of
others are all opinion shows.  They also report the news too.
It's ok, I know it's in vogue to hate Fox and claim their ignorance.  I'm not arguing that they have their share of talkingheads, but to paint with such a broad brush is disingenuous.

I wouldn't have much of a problem with Fox News if they didn't outright lie about some of their stories and report with such a conservative bias.  You don't see that with other news networks.

There is bias with the other news networks.

Urazz wrote...
Do you see a bias towards liberals on the other networks?  Yes we do to some extent but they do report honestly for the most part.  Especially when there are other stations and websites for you to check the truth of those stories.

That is a highly subjective.

Urazz wrote...
Why do you think shows that live off of mocking news networks when they are wrong, like the Daily Show and Colbert Report slam Fox so often.? They don't even try to report on things with a journalistic integrity and don't even try to restrict the bias on their shows.  It make it too easy to slam Fox while you don't see them slam CNN or MSNBC so much.

Fox is on top.   The top dog always is the one that is gone after the most from the oppostiiton.  Again bias and jouranistic integrity or lack of is in all media.

Wow! Even, I don't buy the crap Fox New spits out they are the worse thing about Journalism today. They out right lie too you to get people up in arms over the littlest things. I'm worried for President  Obama,  as I did for bush even thought I didn't agree with half of the things he did.. However, I'm worried some idiot will believe that he needs to take matters in to his own hands this is why I fight against disinformation. I do the same with MSNBC, and CNN. I'd consider myself a moderate who votes for the Liberal side. :D

I hate how toned down the sex scean are in ME2. I thought that the scean in me1 were tatesfuly done.
