After making a topic like this in Gamefaqs, they all pretty much bashed the crap out of her
Does this board feel the same?
Does this board have love , and respect for the Great Ashley Williams?

Some like her, some don't. Personally, I don't dislike her to the point where I waste energy bashing her. She is simply off my radar. I only romanced her with one of my ME1 MaleSheps to see what happens when you cheat on her with Jack... hehehe... *evil grin*

Go find the Ashley Williams support thread. I can personally vouch that there's lots of good Ashley love in there, and the posters are cool people.

Ash is a bigoted, xenophobic, religious zealot with a great ass. She rejects truth in favor of doctrine and eagerly employs a military solution to combat all ideals that conflict with her mono-dimensional concept of the universe. A perfect soldier. It says something on Virmire where my choice wasn't who to save, but who to kill.
That said, Ashley is the less annoying of the two.

Prolly not.

She's racist, bossy, and acts like one of my ex girlfriends.
I do not like Ashley Williams, and I left her behind in ME1 in favor of the more tolerable Alenko.

She died a hero, and for that I respect her.

Well, i don't hate her but she really pissed me off when she saw me back from the dead and talk to me like if i would've tried to kill her or something..
I mean, come on, i was freaking dead!
Then i was brought back by cerberus, so what... i saw what cerberus was experimenting on but as i said in the game, the alliance is doing crap about the abductions, someone has to do something... and still she acted like if she was morally superior than me and ****... geez... i don't hate her, but she's got some serious issues.

I neither liked her nor disliked her... She was barely in the periphery of my mind at all... Barely noticed her.

[e]That said, both Ash and Kad die honorably, and it's more of a choice of who to kill rather than who to save. Out of sheer practicallity, since there are few powerful human biotics, I always save Kad.

I like her more than Kaidan.
Only reason to keep Kaidan around is so I have someone to open locks.

As most have said, she has a great confident personality, but her somewhat moderate religious viewpoints and obvious xenophobia are off-putting to a lot of people. Keep in mind that as a player, you always have a lot of aliens on your ship and communicate with them regularly, so its pretty normal to you, the player. That may create a from-the-start feeling that Ashley is "ignorant" since she is so xenophobic.

My thought on it is Kad is more of an engineer then Ash, so he deals with the bomb, and the bomb is the most important thing in the mission and must be protected. In my mind there is no other way for it to play out.Dethateer wrote...

I actually leave whomever I'm going to save with the bomb, actually, since the reasoning is that I'll go back to defend it rather than go to the AA gun. The destruction of the facility is more important than the Normandy's survival.
