So what you're saying is you should announce what you're about to say before saying it?

Why?  Aliens are so much more interesting.  If you want to romance human chicks ask someone out if you aren't already married.  Video games are for doing things you can't in real life.

So every leading lady in a game should be blue with squid heads?

Ha ha, well I like Samara, but can't romance her.  I already did the other aliens and got that experience , but it will be time for Shep to settle down after ME3 with a human and have a family.:innocent:

Then your options are limited to Liara and Tali. So, all guys need to like eager to please, shy virgins? Persoanlly, I wouldn't go for either of those two for personality.

I like how she casually mentions that she believes in God and she's suddenly a zealot. Even if you ask her if she has an issue with you not believing, she doesn't. She's not a fanatic.

THIS.

Also agreed. People confuse me to no end sometimes.

Anyway, I like her. I know people think she's racist for her issues with aliens, but did you forget the part where she was, ya know, right? The council did leave you hanging your backside in the wind.

You can turn her paragon too right?  Concerning her speciesist views?  She has Shep's back too.  She pulled that AR out on Wrex pretty quick in Fist's office.  I like her VA also.

Thank you! I never had a thing for the overly shy girl. I like them when they know what they want.

I didn't like her much in ME1 and for my Shepard that kept her alive through Virmire, her appearance in ME2 didn't do much to help that. Kaidan is a much more reasonable guy so he usually stays alive for me.

I never have had much interest in any of the LI's TBH. I picked Ash in ME1 and I think I'll just stick with her. If I could have Samara, then I might reconsider.

Samara's "Another time, another life" was the most touching scene for me, tied with Jack's final romance scene.

I think I may vaguely recall it, but I honestly cannot say for sure. I will try it in my next ME1 playthrough though.

As a straight lass, I am not the best judge,
but I would go for Jack as being the best
looking. But, that could be my love of tattoos and shaved heads. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/grin.png[/smilie]

Heh, I just noticed I said "would" when I meant "would not" - pretty huge difference there. ^_^

I liked her well enough in ME1, although she couldn't hold a candle to Liara; but after the **** she said on Horizon that **** is dead to me.

Well, I always felt she was a tad bit of a douche, so I dumped her on Virmire. Never really did like her. That just my opinion of course.

A message board has no feelings. It is a piece of coding on the internet.
It is full of people with a range of varying opinions, though.

I didn't seriously dislike her, but I considered both her and Kaidan dead weight. I picked up their Ally Achievements out of obsessive completionism, never saw anything new that made me like either character any more. Also, she smacktalks Wrex and Garrus right in front of them. That's just being a dick, man.

Can you only change Ashley/Kaidan's opinions (Renegade Kaidan, Paragon Ashley) if you romance them? I admit, I've never done that...

No, I'm saying that forcing others to judge you is wrong and cruel.  You should never corner someone like that.  I'm not saying that makes her a zealot, I'm saying that what she did was wrong.  She didn't give shepard the option of not responding at all.  She could have been like, "Yeah, you know I was raised to believe in God," to which shepard could have responded, "Ok," and moved on.

honestly I just found her personality abrasive, I can understand why others might not think feel the same way.

I liked Samara, but for me I am most like Tali.  We are both willing to express emotions but we both don't take crap from anyone.  We are both interested in tech (honestly one of my favorite parts of the Codex) but we both aren't pushovers intellectually.

I just have a lot in common with Tali, which is why I like her. I can understand why others wouldn't though.  By the way, you should visit the Liara thread, page 442, then go to the Tali thread, page 4952 or something like that.  Very interesting occurences.

Actually, I always read that Ash religion scene as plain old blatant exposition. The writers need someone to show how religion is viewed in the future; in a primarily-atheist future it wouldn't come off as quite right for an atheist character to be talking about old religions without being either too clinical or dismissive (thus offending non-atheists playing the game). So they give a character a religious background, but have her get sh!t for it (I always got the impression that she'd gotten mocked a lot for it and that's why she's defensive and asks 'Will that be a problem?'). She asks Shepard 'do you care' to give the player an opportunity to flesh out 'their' Shepard and interact with the game more.

Hate to break it to you but she's 1/6-7 of your playthrough value, and actually a chunk more because she's the first SM and also an LI, which was gigantic financial bullet point in the first game.

Consumers don't have to be rational or fair. They just have to buy your stuff. If they like it more, they're likely to buy it subsequently, and anything else related to it.
