I've answered three, but no wins so far. I think it is random, rather than the first 100 to answer. Otherwise why wait the full hour?

I agree it sure seems like that is what's going on, but according to the rules, every single tweet response is supposed to be judged and graded on criteria.  That's what is supposed to win the challenge.  And the criteria are 60% creativity, 20% appropriateness to topic, 20% skill and quality of the submission (i.e. grammar and writing skills). The Judges' decisions for any particular Challenge are final and binding.

So those are the posted rules, and by those standards, a standard and basic response with some spelling or grammar errors shouldn't even be in the running with a well written and articulated creative tweet.  But I've read really good tweets that I know didn't win from friends on the boards and some of you.

It makes absolutely no sense and no one in the know seems interested in shedding any light on things, and we can't argue with a judges decision, even if we knew who the hell they were.  So basically we are shafted beyond shafted.

Thanks r2d2arm!

And thanks for the link darkshadow.

No Prob if you use it follow the instructions to alter the hair. It can be a little tricky. But once you get it figured out , you can argue with the results. :)

This morning I challenged myself to make waffles for 7 people (family is here + 2 roomates) in 15 minutes.

I did it and had time to make coffee!!

Impressive, glad to see that some of us can win a challenge.  Out of curiousity, did you follow the rules you set for yourself before you started, or did you just start and then say "**** the rules" and do whatever you felt like?

Shafted community is definitely shafted... it would be nice if we could get some feedback on who won or when the judgment for each challenge was over.

Definitely.  If I could see the winning entries and acknowledge they are decent, I'd be happy to continue on and see if I can top that kind of quality.  Otherwise, not much use to me.

I agree completely, it's so vague the way it's written, just that the judging will start within 3 hours of the completion of the challenge, and that notices will go out starting within 8 hours of the end of the challenge. I simple post or tweet of "Judging for Challenge #5 is now complete" would be nice.

What creativity can there be?  These have been the questions so far:

Who was your favorite character in Dragon Age:
Origins?
Who was your favorite character in Mass Effect 2?
Who was your favorite character in Dragon Age:
Origins Awakening?
Who was your favorite character in Jade Empire?
What race did you play as in Dragon Age: Origins?
What was your psychological profile choice in
Mass Effect?

Those are all answered in one or two words.  Not one of the questions says "and why?"

All day today I've been keeping in touch with people I know that are competing in the challenges. Between the people I'm in touch with and the people they are in touch with, it covers about 90 people. Of those 90, most of them have competed in all challenges yesterday, so a good 250 or more entries in the 4 challenges yesterday to be safe. Total wins: 0

I'm not optimistic anymore.

That's where creativity comes in... people who can devise more than two words are the ones who should win the challenge. and I'm not talking about blah blah blah answer blah blah blah... but if you can characterize, or give personification to your answer... that shows some form of creativity (which is 60% of the criteria). Two word answers should automatically be ignored... in my honest opinion.

The question only asks who or what, NOT why.
Nowhere in the tweeted (how I hate that word) question nor anywhere under Chris's Challenges does it say to do more than answer the question.

Now I see that my actually contextually reading what I was told is apparently wrong, as the next challenge isn't even a question.  It's one word - how the frak do you answer one word?

Whatever.  I made a Twitter account so I could waste my time apparently.

That's why it's called being creative.  There are lots of ways.  Working in a related joke or story to a character.  An inside reference to the related question.  Using the tags as part of the tweet instead of just cramming them together.  All of that is creativity, and it's all better than saying @biofeed #MassEffect #DragonAge I liked ham.

That's the trick, come up with something that seperates your tweet from the others and give it some style, otherwise what's the point of using creativity for %60 of the score.

On a serious note best of luck to those playing the game. I was hoping for something else. No idea what else but this was not itImage IPB

That's the trick?

I read the rules on Chris's Challenges, and I read the entirety of the question.  Making up things to add that are not part of the question is not being creative, it's failing to follow instructions.

It's 140 characters.  Of which about 40 are used up for all the tags.  Forgive me for being so dense as to literally answer the question and not assume that I needed to elaborate.

That "creativity" part I had not seen before someone mentioned it here - it's buried in the official rules of the bazaar/contest.  THIS is all Chris's Challenge section says:

BioWare's "Evil" Chris Priestly will be posting timed challenges to the BioWare Twitter feed (@biofeed)
throughout the duration of the contest. Respond with your answer for a chance to win 500 tokens for each
winning entry. There will be up to 100 winners for each challenge.
When tweeting your response you must include @biofeed and #BioWareBazaar along with the phrase(s) #MassEffect, #DragonAge, or another phrase specified in the challenge.
Challenge winners will be contacted by direct message on Twitter for their BioWare Social account details before being credited with their tokens.
Current Challenge: Challenge #7 - Enchantment? Include #DragonAge in your response.

By my reading the answer should be something like "Yes" or "No" or a definition of the word.  Yes, a definition is longer than one word most likely, but could be just one word.

Silly me for not thinking that in the idiotic world of 140 character messaging I was supposed to somehow be creative. :pinched:

I seriously wish they could have included the following six characters to either the question or the Chris's Challenge rules:

and why

I wouldn't worry about it MerinTB, seriously I don't think it matters, because the only winner that told us what they did basically just had a standard response with a little why. All of us that read the rules completely and have been trying our damndest to be creative, so far have a grand total of jack **** to show for it. So do what you want, it doesn't seem to make a bit of difference.

I'd be happier with that - with it being a random 100 people from those who answered. It's what I expected from the start until now.
