I had about 120 hours invested in the game before this happened (bought all of the DLC except Awakening).  I was fighting the 2nd Darkspawn General before the Archdemon.  I died, tried to reload, and found that all of my saves (AutoSave + 2 manual) were damaged and could not be loaded.  Each save displays the proper time, picture, …etc when looking at it.  It just errors when I try to load.  No cheats.  No exploits.  No “NON-OFFICIAL” Peripherals.  EA Technical Support’s brilliant idea to fix this is to delete all of my saves.  Anyone know a way around this without starting over?  I just hurts so much because I was SOOOOOO close to the end…

Thanks.

Jim

no fix. welcome to the broken game that is DA:O. We have been waiting on a fix for this and other game breakers since launch... but after Awakening, ME2, and this Bazaar crap, i have my doubts they intend to ever fix this game. they have our cash, now they are hopeing we move on to one of thier other products and forget about DA:O.

Yeah, getting the corruption basicly means you're f*cked...when I got it I lost about 240 hours and multiple characters done the game. There hasn't been any fix for any of the bugs that plague this game and I have to agree that after five months with nothing, not even the same fixes as the pc version, that any will be coming.
I know that they've said that there will be, but after this long I'm done hoping, it's all about getting our money and PR gimmicks to take peoples minds off the many problems that need fixing. I bet a fraction of the money they spent on this new bazaar would've gone a long way to help fix this game, but instead we get a contest that excludes most of the "community" instead of fixes for this broken game and expansion....sad really.

*sigh* This is NOT good for my OCD…

Thanks for the responses. Guess I’m starting over.

One more thing before I do... is there a separate ending for each origin character? (ie, do I need to play through the same origin again in order to get the ending I was oh so close to?)

Use any exploits like the Crystal Exploit at Redcliffe or EXP w/ Duncan at Ostagar/

The crystals maybe, but the xp glitch does not corrupt the game from what I've seen, I've got 5 characters finished and used the xp glitch a bit at the start of most of them. (just a few extra levels to get the first spec) Perhaps maxing the level at Ostagar does it? I've never done more than a few extra levels, the most I did was to lv14 on one character. Itwould be interesting to know though if maxing your character at the start can also corrupt saves. From what I've seen so far it mostly occurs from overloading merchants.

I mention both because the Crystal glitch is usually always to blame. EXP could do the same, but I myself have used it on a pair of characters.

I got the same problem... Though for me I've narrowed it down for me anyway, to the after you get the Wardens Keep DLC and then (SPOILER)  play it through after you've sealed the Veil and done what you like with that old man Warden. When you go through it DO NOT pick up anything you DO NOT plan to use cuz when you want to sell any of the dropped gear to your friendly Drawf Merchant at the party camp that will instantly corrupt the game for some evil reason... However I am still trying to narrow down if it is any particular item. That I will get back to you about after I keep going through this annoying process...

Yup ANYTHING you try and sell FROM Storm Peak even the generic stuff will bust the save and you will lose your mind. (Added later then edited)-> The only two things you CAN do is send the stuff from Storm Peak you will not use into the Junk and delete them perminantly or go back to Storm Peak and sell it to that Levi Dryden or his cousin that means don't go selling this later on sell it NOW while you remember which items you got there... (Just noted after looking at thread linked above)> Nvm that probably is the reason...
