Dear anyone who reads this and want to take a note

A few days ago I saw the timer on most of the BioWare websites... Happy happy joy joy! But not for long... After the deadline passed, BioWare announced the news: BioWare Bazaar, the Eastern auction. After reading the rules to the game and looking at my profile on this network, I was greatly disappointed.

Why wouldn't I?! Again not for people living in other regions than NA... Is the shipping cost that high? Didn't your games sell good enough in Europe?
I was thinking of buying the addon for Dragon Age, but now to think of it... I think I'll let that one pass. Heck, I'll just buy more from other companies. BioWare won't be getting my money no more (unless they come up with something 'nifty').

Kind regards
Bratkip

It is what it is, and I feel for you. It's kind of a dick move.

I think you are overreacting. I'm sure Bioware would have liked to make the Bazaar available to people outside the US.

So why didn't they? ^^

And it's not that I'm a dissatisfied costumer. Most of BioWares games are all high on my favorite games list.
But it's always the same: promotions and other fun stuff is only NA

I'm sure they have a good reason for it. I'm also sure that the reason they aren't saying anything is that no matter what they say some part of the community will be ready to hang them for it. It's always a lose lose whenever a company does something. This also reminds me of when Dante's Inferno was coming out, and EA was only releasing a special version in Europe, and how a lot of people in NA were told to just get over it. idk, it's always a big mess

There's a whole mess of legal complications with this sort of thing.

http://social.biowar...3/index/1960476 that's the official thread. its of people think its a bunch of crap. not because of the prizes but because they make this HUGE deal about this and how it is an "epic announcement for the community" and then release a competition that is first only available to US (ex. NY and FL) AND its just a big marketing ploy to buy the latest games, as the DAO: Awakening offers you more token than DAO or ME2 meaning they are trying to push the new expansion. also they are turning you into a human spam machine as you put links to this very site on your social networking site to get tokens. While effective it is a cheap trick.

very disappointed in BIOWARE, shame on you Chris Priestly...

My guess is overzealous consumer protection laws make it hard, if not impossible for Bioware to run a points-based promotion like the Bazaar in some states and overseas, but I have only done a minimal amount of research.

It sucks for you.

Some people need to take a deep breath and realize this is a video game company. Who cares about this silly token auction crap. All we should really care about is when will their next video game come out.

Except that you don't have to actually buy the games to get the tokens for them. Read the rules, you can get them by doing a quiz about the game instead. No purchase necessary.

Of course it's a marketing campagin.  The best kind too.  It's hard for me to complain about the oppurtunity to win free stuff.  Especially that Alienware 11Mx I've been eyeing for the last few months.

I probably meant with 'something nifty' their next game, but at the moment I don't feel like buying so much from BioWare and I think I'm the only one here on the Old Continent.

This discussion can be done in the BioWare Bazaar announcement thread. Thank you.

End of line.
