Turians and quarians would be sickeningly sweet because of the dextro-amino configuration.

Interesting.
I recall reading the annotated Through the Looking-Glass. There's a scene where Alice talks about a looking-glass world and how the milk would be bad to drink. The footnote said that if the amino acids in milk were 'flipped' a if in a mirror, the result would be poisonous.
Assuming that turians and quarians are sufficiently mammalian to produce milk, it would kill you to drink it.

Take the d-amino acids are poisonous thing with a grain of salt, or at least the way Bioware tells you.

Of course it can. But, if you mean R-carvone, it's not an amino acid.

Oh, I thought you meant taste in a completely different context.

It'd be interesting if cannabalism was actually acceptable in one of the more civilised races, like Asari or Salarian.
Old beef, man. Everything tastes like old beef if you stew it long enough.Maria Caliban wrote...
I've been pondering this one for awhile now and think I have the right idea.
Asari - Dolphins or whales. More like dolphins as they lack the heavy blubber of whales.
Turians - They look stringy so I bet they taste like rattlesnake.
Salarians - Frogs, obviously.
Hanar - They're a bit thicker than actually jellyfish. They're probably like eating chewy mucus.
Krogan - Very tough turtle. Probably have to tenderize them.
Reapers - Lobster?
Vorcha - Like licking the inside of a garbage can
Humans - Taste like chicken
Anyone else have one to add?
