I support your cause and hope bioware flags this thread. We must have elevators returned its the ME stay of gaming and it worked. To many people complained about it. Unfortunately, at the time of ME 1 I was not here to make people appreciate it. Now I'm here and I support you. You should make a group. See if you can get the Tali cult behind you as well.

Yeah, I kind of do. The loading screens are OK, but I miss the convos.

Yes, I miss more conversations in ME2 but I don´t miss the superslow elevators from ME at all.

This. The chances of hearing the character convos in Mass 1 already died out after I recruited Liara and completed every side-mission in the game. >_>

I miss the dialogue, but I don't miss the loading time... The dialogue can be inserted anywhere and I won't miss a good convo if I decide to go on a bathroom break during a loading screen...

Gimme dialogue, not elevators...

Look, we're going to have load screens.  Why not just have something entertaining to happen while we are loading.  I hate ME2 load screens.

Considering the 'slow elevators' were replaced by 'not much faster' loading screens which were absent of awesome dialogue. Yes.

What's really bizarre is the loading screens are the same length even if you load the next instance immediately. The bik file plays out even after the geometry and entities have loaded.

Not on a good PC, you're not.

I definitely miss them. I even avoided the rapid transit terminals just to listen to banter or news reports. Now, the elevator in the Normandy.... I could do with a loading screen there, there was no point to that elevator.

definitely dont miss the elevators in me1 on xbox360. but in the pc version i didnt mind at all, faster loads and steam web browsing haha. definitely hate the loads to get onto the Normandy to research recently purchased upgrades right before a mission on the same planet you bought them. why would i leave the whole planet just to go right back? a good mix of both elevators and well placed load screens would be perfect.

I miss them. I just started playing through ME1 again and I have to say the elevators never really bothered me, and I actually prefer them to the static loading screens in ME2.

Yes, without elevator conversations Garrus has nothing to resort to but the continuous calibration of something, to pass the time and escape solitude.

I prefer the elevator rides to the loading screens. At least it felt like one big map that way and I still had control of my camera.

Garrus + Tali had great ones.

Though Wrex + Anyone were the best.

When we complained about the slow elevators Bioware thought we meant squad interactions, too. :(

You can NEVER have too much squad interaction! What I didn't like were endless elevator rides with the same news broadcasts repeating over and over, not my squaddies talking.

I want elevators back, load screens are ridiculously boring. In fact the thing I hated the most about ME1 were the load screens during citadel rapid transit. Of course I will be completely annoyed if ME3 does not incorporate Dragon Ages random dialogue.

Indeed. Wrex did so much to develop the other characters.

I am agreement to the people in this thread that miss the conversations. I hope that in ME3 they can create a load screen that doesn't feel like a load screen. In ME2 it is pretty obvious what is a load screen and what is the gameplay. ME1 was closer to no load screen, but it's monotoniously slow moving elevators kind of killed it for that game.

But yeah thats my input ^_^

Perhaps we could have shuttle rides instead of elevators :)

I actually miss the elevator rides. The new wire frame loading screens detaches me from the game. And the screens don't show anything useful. The elevator rides at least had interesting news reports or funny banter between squadmates.

Elevator Music! I liked the conversations between squad members and news reports also. It was mainly the bugs with the elevators that made people angry I believe.

I do as well, they should have replaced it with DA style party banter or something.

I've always thought that sort of thing really helped develop characters and their relationships with one another. After all Shepard isn't the only other member of the crew they'd interact with.

The removal of banter is just another aspect in the Gears-Of-War-ification of the Mass Effect franchise.  They didn't even bother to increase the number of Points of Interest that cause responses (like the Conduit terminus and krogan statue in the presidium)

Hell yeah. I don't mind the loading screens, but they seem really... lifeless. I'm not even entirely sure how fast they really are, but they seem so entirely slow that I can't even tell. I loved the little conversations that happened and it encouraged me to mix up my squad just to see all the different things they'd say.
