On my last playtrough I've sometimes changed pattern, colours and parts of my N7 armor to look different for certain missions, considering the type of terrain, the enemies, or if a breather was needed. Have you tried this? Am I the only one so insane?

It's funny. I was proud of how cool did Braknil Shepard look with his white/grey cammo N7 armor with pouches for extra ammo. Then, after finishing the game I came to this forum and saw a lot of pictures of your Shepards using the same pattern and colours. I didn't know it was so popular. What are your favourite pattern and colours?

Mainly I go all grey, with pattern 1. Nothing flashy. I really wish they would release a package that added new armor patterns (Blue suns, Eclipse, Blood Pack, Cerberus etc.)

I do that sometimes. Usually setting it to grey for Freedom's progress. That place is dull, and bland aesthetically, so my Sheperd is too.Braknil wrote...

My favourite armour look is the shiny purple/blue with the single armstripe yellow pattern. It sounds awful, but I absolutely loved it. Don't want to go linking any screenshots of how it looks though. I tend to get carried away with them.

Yeah Eclipse mercenaries look awesome. Too bad you can't recreate it with N7; I don't think the same shade of yellow is available. Infiltrating mercenaries would be perfect material for a DLC, and a cool opportunity to get a new armor.

I kinda metagame now. If I know that a mission is a straight up assault (suicide mission, collector ship, most N7s) I go all black with a recon hood. I wear green camo on zaeed's loyalty. I dork it up.

Call me a traditionalist, but I always went with a camo pattern. Pretty much any color with the lighter version of itself makes a decent looking camo, even bright/dark yellow. I think dark/light blue was my favorite, looks S.W.A.T.-ty

I used to always go camo with the Predator LMH Armors, but I just cannot seem to make a green camo that looks decent.

With camo, I always take a black base. It always makes the top colour alot more prominent. .. Yeah, looking prominent defeats the object of using como, but still.iamdoingthat wrote...

Canon male Shepard: black tint 1, pale yellow tint 2, pattern 1 - but I have the heavy damping gauntlets on him, so you don't see the stripe on his arm.
FemShep: tint 1 is that dark red tone with a similar red for pattern 1 and tint 2.
Renegade male Shep: Has very bright blonde hair, so I gave him a green tint 1 with yellow tint 2 and pattern 1 color to match. It works so well, I've decided to leave off the helmet despite the health penalty.

My armor looks a lot like thisisme's second armor. I also do a red with a black stripe, or black with a white stripe.
I'm colorblind...soooooo.. yeah half the time I don't even know what colors I have on

The only time I did this on my second playthrough was switching from a Gray/Blue armor set to Black/Red after the Collector Ship mission - to represent Shepard going off the deep end a bit after being betrayed (from a certain point of view) by TIM. I also switched from making Paragon to Renegade decisions at that point.Braknil wrote...

I usually just wear whatever DLC armor is best for my class. But if I go N7 it's usually White/Gray Cerberus colors or Forest Green base with brown camo.

I tend to choose different colour schemes for different classes, so currently I have;
Sentinel - Light yellow on Crimson with patt. 01
Engineer - Dark green on Dark yellow with patt. 01
Adept - Pale blue on Deep blue / Purple with patt. 01
Soldier - Dark green on Off-white with patt. 01
I think my favourite so far is for Adept. Lighter colours on Dark look awesome.
(Anyone guess that I like pattern 01?)

I use the Blood Dragon Armor alot, but right now my N7 gear is Black with White Secondary, with gold features. Cerberus colors and all.

black and green, keep it simple.

For Sentinel, my favorite is dark orange as the main tint, with black as the second. Pattern is dark red camo. Warm, dark colors give it a kind of atumnal feel.
My Vanguard is full on gold, with the stiped pattern being a sort of dark bronze color. Pretty easy to see her coming.

I'm thinking of doing an infiltrator RP playthrough, changing the pattern and colors depending on the planet/ship/station I'm going to be landing on.

Posté 31 mars 2010 - 10:34
For me it depends on the class I'm playing, and sometimes the mission. Adepts wear blue, purple, orange etc. Infiltrators wear dark grey, black and blue. Soldiers often wear red or orange if they're heavy on incendiary ammo, but if they're on a geth mission, more likely white, grey or blue. Vanguards wear whatever is the most intimidating color, usually red against human opponents. Engineers wear blue.
But on Zaeed's and Jacob's missions, I like to wear green camo whatever the class.
