I've mocked and hated on Twitter since I first heard of it.  My bemusement matched my despair for humanity as I watched Twitter appear EVERYWHERE, even on news casts and governement agencies...

but I promised myself I'd never use it.  Like Facebook, I don't need to follow a trend just because it's a trend, and like cell phone texting I don't see a need for it as anything I'd want from Twitter (and it'd isn't much that I would) I get more easily elsewhere.

But this stupid contest has the Twitter'd challenges...


Who else joined Twitter for this contest?  Of those, who plans on leaving Twitter once the contest is over?

Yes and yes. Twitter seems to be the most worthless form of communication ever devised by humans, but that's what Bioware is doing, so I'll tolerate it until the auction ends.

I feel your pain I feel dirty also. I always cracked jokes of people that used twitter and made statements like I just went to the bathroom and you just wont believe what happened. lol In all seriousness I will be canceling my newly made twitter account once this stupid bazaar is over.

What is does is try to combine blogging and texting and in doing so miss the point of them both.

Hell I did not even own a cell phone untill 2008. Never had a need or want for one.

I've been on Twitter for over a year, but I think the most efficient form of use for it is:



Very, very, very close use for friend's status updates outside of FB. I only allow my best friends to friend me on Twitter.



Secondly, I follow many major corporations (such as bioware), and politicians, and corporate executives on there, which is always good for news flashes, announcements, and funny executive proverbs.
