First of all---check out this video of EA in Burnaby BC from the Rick Mercer Report

They have their own sports complex, indoor courts, liquor licenced bar---etc.--OMG --BC CANADA and we can't particpate!!! What extravagance---really check out the vid. No wonder I had to pay 45.00 CDN for an addon to pay for this building and Canadians can't participate.

Hopefully there will be a Canadian only, France Only, England only, ETC contests when they have it all sorted out.

Its not April 1 for awhile yet. Not sure what timezone Bioware is in, but even on the East Coast its still 5:30pm March 31,  and 2:30pm on the west coast.

They realised at the last minute that people outside America actually exist! Whoopdeedoo.

I for one am not placated with promises, but whatever, I never win contests anyway.

Inclined to agree with you there, but I'm willing to give them a shred of the benefit of the doubt, because it's Bioware.

See I'd believe BioWare if EA wasn't part of the equation.

But the are. The guys at BioWare may not have a choice, and they may not like it, but that doesn't halt EA's influence, and I trust EA like I trust British politics.

Which is not at all, in case there was any doubt.

Yup they did screw up. It's not unheard of that US based companies "look down" or "forget about" other countries.

Apologies fully noted and accepted. I believe it's the right thing to do (even if it's an April fools or a PR tric). It just goes down well.

Changed my mind--they should have cancelled the ENTIRE contest until it was sorted out.

I'm surprised people haven't figured out the contests and give-aways are always separated by region and country. This comes up a LOT. I never thought Bioware was singling out one country that they like "best"

I mean each country has it's own laws regarding these types of events/contests, so they would have to look into each countries laws to find ways to make it work. I would think that international laws wouldn't be a problem for a company that ships it products around the world, you'd have to know them very well to do this.

Wow, I can't remember the last time people from other continents than North America where allowed to enter a contest. It would be cool if this worked out.

What I am upset about is people who havent even played Origins or Mass Effect BUT have heard of them only, and all they want to do is get what they havent earned.
