To tell you the truth, I find it a little unprofessional if it was really intended to be an international contest but you learned that there would be quote unquote "legal complications" just before launching it.

But thanks for the clarification, and happy 15th anniversary.

Thank you Bioware for a kind worda, its good to know that you still think about all fans, and listens to them even if they are in Europe :)

Iam looking forward for Bazaar for EU, and I hope it will be available to whole Europe

(sometimes happens, with other compannies that they exlude some countries, even if the event is held as EU. I live in Czech and so far it always been exluded from every event I same across, sadly :( ...I just hope with Bioware - they will not overlook us. We maybe are small country but we have hell of a fans of Bioware here :)

Dear doctors...

This was not about being excluded from the Bazaar. For me it was about the way it was brought. We had to find out in the fine print. I cannot believe that you made the legal decisions one second before the counter reached zero.

At least it is cool that you've responded. Thanks for the message. At least we know something more.

Corporations move rather slowly, that we got a response in a little over 24 hours is quite a fast response.

You should be satisfied.  But you'll likely just wallow in disappointment like always.

I'm personally thrilled about the event so far. While I know I won't be able to win any of the big items, I'm hoping to be able to get myself a hoodie or a hat.

And more events throughout the year? I think I picked the right year to start playing video games...

Glad to see they are listening. Good luck to you un-community members and getting good swag.

That's why I like Bioware and hate SOE (SWG events). They would never respond like that.

It took long enough for them to come up with the explanation. Creative writing does take time though.

And a viral spamming contest is soooo wonderful.

But at least we have an answer. Now we just need the bug fixes. Any Idea when that will occur, Ray?

I'd like to say thanks for the response on this issue as well. It makes a big difference to know that Bioware acknowledges the problem and is taking action. We appreciate it!

I do want to echo a couple of comments from other posters:

1) the real issue was how the bazaar was communicated, not the content, so please keep that in mind for future events

2) I'm also in favour of the idea that community events could support charities like Childs Play

With that, I look forward to Bioware's 15th Birthday Year. And in particular more info about ME3! Regardless of these other hiccups, Bioware's games are the best!

Dose this mean since Florida and New York are in the USA they won't get to be in any of the other contests either?

No, when Ray said it will be available to everyone previously excluded, it means for Florida and New York as well. :)

we encountered some last-minute legal complications around how contests can be structured in different parts of the world that prevented us from including all territories in this first event

Encountered...at the last minute? Yeah right...

as long as it isnt pissing off my friends by spamming crap all over facebook...I may be interested...otherwise, your not helping endear yourselves to your fans...

I'm more curious as to why they didn't just put a hold on the launch of the contest when they found out that people would have to be excluded in the first place? Bioware had to have some semblance of the response they would get, they aren't newbs in the industry.

Thanks for the response. I figured it was because of contest red tape but it's always nice to be acknowledged. Just a question: I have relatives in the United States. Could I still participate in the auction and have my prize bestowed upon them? I know none of them will be participating in the Bazaar (the kids are too young to play ME and DA) but I was shooting for PC gear anyway and someone may as well make us of my points.

I appreciate the post Mr. Muzyka. As soon as I saw the restrictions, I figured it was due to some sort of legal reasons. And I'm glad you guys are going to attempt to make it up to all those who missed out on this faux auction!

[clicky removed] <-- There's my clicky btw! ^_^
