Damm sheep

I don't have to accept the apology, but I can at least appreciate that the CEO of a multi-million dollar company would take the time out to address the issue instead of sending one of his PR peons to do his dirty work.

If that makes me a sheep, then so be it.

I don't believe in that. That's an excuse. If BioWare does something positive then it is praised and if they screw up then EA is blamed. For all intents and purposes BioWare is EA.

That's the great perk for partnering with EA, they're an awesome scapegoat.

Oh, rest assured,  when Bioware does something good, EA  gets something much more valuable and tangeable than praise.

They get  MONEY.  Do you honestly think  they even want anything else?

Pachycephalosaurus, (meaning "thick headed lizard" or "bonehead lizard") found in Western plains area of North America. It was an herbivorous or omnivorous creature which is only known from a single skull and a few extremely
thick skull roofs.
Current living examples can also be found in Western plains area of North America.

Read again what I wrote. Never did I defend EA. But your reply proves one thing: You are obviously a BW apologist. Because people like you will never hold EA's team called BioWare accountable for what they do, the company will never change.

I find this hilarious.  In the past 30 minutes, I've been accused of being  BOTH a Bioware Apologist, and a Bioware Hater.

True story, would you like to see a PM I just got from a poster named "JigPig"?

Here it is:

But what the hell are you talking about here?  My post was not an opinion.   Nor was it a statement of praise/condemnation of anyone.  The Fact of the matter is  that you are  correct:  When Bioware does something positive, EA gets no praise.  Instead, they get something better:  MONEY.

And what is wrong with money? Companies are in it for the money. That's what they do. And I am glad companies are trying to compete. But if people don't hold them responsible for what they do, then obviously there is no need to change.

This thread proves that if a large part of the community does not approve BioWare's Bazaar then the company is going to respond and going to correct the situation. The same goes for any critique about the games BioWare produce. If you feel there is something wrong with one of their games and if you have any common sense then you should post about that flaw. It actually helps them to produce a better game and compete with other companies. You are doing them a favor. It helps them to make more money. That fiancial position allows them to create better games. In the end everybody wins.

I see some people revelling in the fact that they're sheep.

Being a sheep is nothing to be proud of people.

It only means someone will use you eventually for their own ends, at your cost.

It looks like you have a lot to say and maybe your post makes sense (I don't know yet), but I refuse to read anything from you considering your forum avatar and sig. I am considering reporting you to a moderator.

So by that logic, I should refuse to read Das Kapital based on the picture of Marx on it's cover? Or Mao's Little Red, due to the Yellow Stars on a red background? Or the Bible because of the cross?

Should I refuse to enter a library because of the decadent art outside? Should I not use a computer, because I disapprove of Microsoft?

Of course not. It'd just be silly and I'd miss out on copious amounts of arguments, information and knowledge, because I'm staring myself blind as an icon, a picture, a face or a line of text.

Read from the beginning. Everything is quoted. exxxed defends BioWare and blames EA. I tell that I think that for all intents and purposes BioWare is EA. You tell that if Bioware does something good, EA gets the money. So, you paint BioWare as some kind of victim of EA. So, I call you an apologist, because your statement is inline with what most BW apologists believe: BioWare is perfect and they are just a victim of the evil EA. In response, I proposed an idea that BW apologists may want to consider in their best interest.

I don't think that it is hard to follow.

You're dreaming if you think BioWare gets to do anything without EA's permission or oversight.
The price of being a subsidiary.
Though you'd think that, being a subsidiary, even if this was all BioWare's idea (which I doubt), wouldn't they benefit from EA's legal department? Nobody told them "Hey, this is only available for (most) of the US. Better make that clear and say there'll be regional contests later."?
Last minute legal issues indeed. Why is it that the first thing that I, who isn't a lawyer or well versed in legal matters, did when looking at the rules is check for the regional limits, but EA's vast army of legal experts didn't think of this? Huh!

Luckmann here. I just want to say that now I'm suddenly banned on the forum, without warning. Since my 24 ban (which I accepted), I haven't heard anything from the devs or the mods, and now I'm suddenly banned, without explanation or warning.

So yeah, now it's not like I even have a choice wheter or not Bioware is redeemable. I spent hundreds of $$$ on games and DLC, just to be thrown aside because I'm not comfortable on an open forum. Cheerio, people.

Which is precisely what happens... hence there's no reason to praise them, nor would they ever need praise....  The money they get is more than enough for them.

So, you paint BioWare as some kind of victim of EA.

Really? where do I do that?

Thanks Bioware for not forgetting the rest of the world! I was really pissed when I found out I couldn't enter the Bazaar, but now it's okay. And happy Fifteenth Birthday!!!
