Don't count yourself too lucky. We still live in those days. Watch the news once in a while.

Thats your spin...you keep it where it belongs..in your head..and not in
my mouth..okay? :)

unfortunately for you, I'm still entitled to express my opinion :D
I know, that drives you crazy...

Fascism is part of history, the swastika is historical imagery. Getting "offended" over them being mentioned or shown is nothing else than an attempt to censor history.

But knowing you, it's very possible that you're actually more offended by him criticizing bioware :P

Anything else you want to assume..whilst busy with your personal attacks? :)

And I am still entitled to object to that opinion if it is being applied to me.    Which it is...which can also be considered a personal attack, and I suggest you cease and desist.

Thank you for thinking that my opinion is so important to warrant responding to it twice (or you just like to spam?) :D

Unfortunately, though, your "suggestions" are just a tad inconsequential to me (and to most others). You should have learned that long ago.

Twice?

Oh, and you might want to check the meaning of "slander" :D
Though i'd love you to quote the part where see an insult. Besides the ones  that exist only in your mind, of course.

Let me give you the info on whats going on here.

Luckmen made a post yesterday that was rather inflammatory and broke some of the rules that he agreed to follow when posting on these boards. (I did agree with some of those points being made just to be clear) and then went on to repost it and compare BioWare to a **** Germany.

LIke I stated earlier (and you just decided to ignore) it is a pathetic attention grab and yes I do find it offensive and insulting to be using them in such a way. It is not just because I see them. It is the context and usage of them in this particular case. I would feel no different if the symbolism of Facist Italy, Communist Russia, or Empire of Japan was used to portray the same message.

*sighs*...

No one respects authority anymore....

I'm gonna have to call it a no contest and disqualify both of you if you dont start following the rules soon.....

Now, once again, to your corners.....

*walks around the ring again, this time with nylons on so you can't see his hairy legs*....

Thanks for the update, Ray and Greg.  It's great to know that you see all fans as part of the community.  Happy 15th-Bioware-anniversary!  :)

Hm, EA screws up and BioWare apologies...

Typical...

I don't believe in that. That's an excuse. If BioWare does something positive then it is praised and if they screw up then EA is blamed. For all intents and purposes BioWare is EA.

Oh, rest assured,  when Bioware does something good, EA  gets something much more valuable and tangeable than praise.

They get  MONEY.  Do you honestly think  they even want anything else?

Back to the topic at hand...

Money makes the world go 'round..specially if it happens to be business.   So for money and business reasons...we were offered an apology and a promise to right things sometime this year.

Other than that...what else can we expect really?

Your PR department thinks up something that will mollify the customer..and its business as usual.

As I stated before..I am happy they were willing to offer the apology etc..now lets see what comes next.    If it turns out they were talking thru their left ear..then I guess we'll have something to "chew" on.

Currently we don't, however...at least in my view. :)

Moderating is a task for the moderators, as much as deciding who's breaking the "rules". He's still here, so quite obviously they decided that he din't, or at least he didn't in such a way to warrant serious action. It isn't your place to argue that (and this is in the rules as well, mind you).

Don't like what he shows? Report him and move on.

My real issue is that the apology despite saying it is sincere wreaked of insincerity.  It was typical form damage control...and let's blame the laws for our mistake.  No real responsibility was taken.  And no company as big as EA and Bioware to a lesser extent would not know there are different laws and rules for contests.  There was ample opportunity to remove the timer and inform the community of the mistake and avoid this mess in the first place.

This. Either Ea's and Bioware's legal teams both went vacationing for a week, or something is amiss.
I still appreciate the promise of something for Europe in the future, but this is far from an heartfelt apology.

And god forbid Ray and Greg spending 2 minutes to make an account on their own forums and copy/pasting their apology themselves mh?
Must be too busy for that :innocent:

Come on, you want us to seriously believe that the community is so important for you, when you can't even take two minutes of your times to write to them directly?

Mark Jacobs had plenty faults of his own, but at least he didn't hide behind his community managers all the time.
