It's called collateral damage.  Many many people are still suffering the results of those explosions.  And you are still justifying killing mainly civilians.  Really you just keep hurting your case and you should stop because you may be making a lot of other intelligent and normal Americans look bad.

Let's ignore the british bombing of Berlin, yeah.

Yeah that only left  over 800,000 to a million homeless.  Killed tens of thousands.  But American didn't do so it wasn't bad shh dont tell him that.

Darht  At this point your resulting to simple insults which doesn't hurt my case at all.

I guess I am done proving my point seeing as you have nothing less to same on the issue.

I am not saying that that wasn't bad too, but there is an awful lot of devaluing of human life going on and justifying killing of innocents is just bad form.  Everyone conveniently overlooks the fact at how many innocents actually die in war.  So shouting how awesome you are because you blew up two cities is really sad in my opinion.  That's all I am saying.

Thats not shouting how awesome you are that's proving that with higher technology and the first to develop the bomb we ended a war that if noone had it would have  killed many more millions of drafted innocences.

Your unable to see a bigger scope of things than you read in your 5th grade history book.

Well thanks for your free diagnosis Doc..but  I don't get hurt every day, and I can pretty much hold my own with "anything" that comes up on these forums.    I like to pose these questions to see if people are actually thinking..before they do these things.

and lulz?  Isn't that a Wow term?   Pffft.   yeah thats cool :)

But one thing I have had to face is the fact that the upcoming generation of gamers...well most of them come from that Blizzard place...think like that, act like that, and "talk" like that.

Oh well.

That terminology did not originate from WoW nor is it exclusive to WoWtards.  I just use proper terminology for the subject I speak of.

Frankly, you're wasting your breath (so to speak) with those questions.  You're essentially asking a bottomless void for answers you will never get.  If you ever do get answers, it'll probably be sarcasm.

Then..."proper terminology" ..that is if you are using the English language..would be to refer to it  as "for laughs"

Lulz,  lol, roflcopter and all the rest..come from the Wow generation......

If I am wasting my breath..its MY breath to waste.   Or are you informing me that all of a sudden..I have no right to post here..and if thats the case, are you a moderator...and if you aren't, what's your problem?  ^^

No they are from college history classes, nice bias though, assuming everyone but yourself knows nothing but movie information/

bet you believe the mighty US of A won WWII too eh? lmao....jeesh....

I last recall two atomic bombs ending an entire theatre of the war thanks to us.

I don't recall the British or anyone else winning an Enitre Theatre by itself.

EDIT: Someone keeps posting about Canada.  I don't have anything to say about Canada really they are great people the ones I have met and usually don't seem to be very biased like many countries' citizens.

And yes I agree Canada's help in wars etc. is often overlooked.

im Canadian, and honestly I am quite disappointed in Canada on the international stage. In any international crisis since 1980 we sucked British co.ck and did what ever they told us to do. Whether it was sending 200,000 men to their deaths in the trenches of ww1, or volunteering yet again "as a friend of" britian in ww2. It's really a shame that we kinda got our independence through submission and doing britain's dirty work

Today we now suck America's co.ck. What ever Bush told harper to do, harper complied. Sending troops to afganhistan without thinking at all, just so we can look good in front of our main trading and millitary partner.
I hope Obama will be lenient on it's puppy Canada.

I hope that one day Canada will start taking initiative and stand up for itself.

Speaking of cheap insults^^^.
Your exact words were:

I last recall two atomic bombs ending an entire theatre of the war thanks to us.

I don't recall the British or anyone else winning an Enitre Theatre by itself.

Sounds like bragging to me.  Anyways.  I am done here.  There is more to a country's worth than who has the biggest guns (obvious euphemism intended).  And measuring success by death toll or military bravado...especially when overlooking everyone's contributions and the obvious destruction left behind as a result is insulting and meritless.  On a final note, A lot of Americans when bragging about how great they are in military operations conveniently leave out such humiliations as:

Vietnam War
Lebanon
Friendly fire debacles which happen with frightening regularity
Detention camps in Iraq

The list goes on but you get my point.

the russians practically won the entire european front. America and Britain attacked Germany when the bulk of it's main army was concentrated on russia. American troops landed in europe to fight some random garrisons and 10 year old boys

Japan was on the verge of collapse from continued resistance from the chinese. They were pushed back from burma by the indians and australians, and russia had just recently invaded manchuria. I don't think those bombs were necessary at all

Yeah. Our insurance company gave us a rental. We have it until at least Tuesday.

She didn't even have insurance and she made up her own registration! Not only that she has a warrant out for her arrest.

Ah well. I might PM you later. :wizard:

And i don't think a behind the back bombing of pearl harbor was either.

I don't recall hearing of a declaration of war before pearl harbor was.
EDIT: Also about Russia I agree Russia did do a lot in WW2 but that was after Hitler made the dumb move to run up into Russia in the cold of winter and Russia did the same thing it did to Napoleon, burned everything as it ran.  It starved out the German army and allowed the rest to break throught and the war to be won.

Last time I checked we were under a declaration of war when we attacked.

Innocent men were killed at both attacks ours was just bigger.

And darth keeps saying Military power isn't what decides it.  Yes it does in the moderan world never heard of MAD?

It is what kept the world alive in the cold war.  Military Power.

I will boast about our military power, it has and will keep us and many others safe.

Except the British and canadian troops, which as has been said, a quarter of our casualties have come from your superior militaries incompetence :)

Anyway....Im out of this discussion, the facr that you try to continually prove your point despite being proven wrong and corrected shows a real tollish intelligence.

Bye.

I'm confused. Last time I check this thread it was about whether people believed if there really last minute complications with the contest...now it's about nationalism?

What did I miss? I don't obviously get out of my igloo enough.
