I've just began playing Dragon Age Orgins: Awakening and was wanting to know what the best weapon for a 2 handed warrior so I can find it the first time thru.

I think it's the sword that Wade makes for you, Vigilance.

Otherwise, The Mother's Chosen.

Frenzy (2h axe) is also very good, and can be bought from the Amaranthine smith for ~12g.

Vigilance is clearly the best!

Before to have vigilance, if I have to use another 2 handed weapon, I would chose Valos Atredum over Frenzy or The Mother's Chosen.

Valos Atredum can be found at Knotwood Hills (Kal'Hirol Trade Quarter), it is one of several items that can be repaired on the golem's anvil.

But Vigilance has 8 types. The question will become which build is the best.

I personally perfer "raw power + Wade's best/Sharp".

Thanks for the help, just found the last of the things Wade needed to make Vigilance. The sword really is great, and the stats I choose work perfect.
