Banning someone from a game should be only because you either cheat/exploit or hating word INSIDE THE GAME! NOT ON A FORUM!

Not to get off topic, a few years ago I was part of an online community.  Partly due to my playing of Natural Selection and Counter Strike.  Now these run on those communities servers, I do not know how Battlefield works but I do know that on the 360 they run on EA servers.  At one point the sub community I was in (Natural Selection) angered one of the mods on April Fools day.  Angered him so much that he rallied a couple other mods (one as it turns out was a self righteous ****, although the instigator was a bit of a jerk he wasn't really as bad as this one specific guy) and they all got banned from all of that communities servers, except for me because at the time I was having internet issues and I came back right at the end trying to defend them and one other person they overlooked.  This killed the NS community as there were only a few people left playing it as they purged quite a few people.  Only about a month later the guy instigating the purge was perma-banned from the community for keeping a community server when they were downgrading its usage, instead of transferring it or giving back the parts to those who donated it to community (and in turn he was assigned to house).  Funny how things work in the end.

So yeah it is not unheard of.  But it is surprising that a Corporate entity would do something like that.  If what you said in the other thread was true anyway.

I haven't been banned from any, because I only posted the link in my sig, in my blog on here and in the thread dedicated to it. Sure, I may not get as many clicks that way, but I'm not tweeking off any sites I like to frequent, either.

A)  Did they actually say you were being banned for something you did on the forums?  because you arent making a ton of sense and have no specific examples.

  I moderate a forum for an active CS:S community and I can tell your right now that people that act like complete ****s on the forums are generally complete ****s in the game as well.   People who go above and beyond in thier attempts to be disruptive on the forums are banned from our forums and our servers immediately, and you know what?  It creates a better community.

A) yes, the only message I received was from Ea telling me I've been banned because of a message a post here.

I never use mic and always play without cheating. I'm pretty good I admit (average of 1000 pts more than the second player)

This is not unheard of though.  Read mine and Sloth's posts regarding this.  The only thing I would say that it is strange regarding a corporate company, but even then I would not assume to know how they operate in regards to their servers.

Maybe you should read the EULA /TOS.

Anything you do on these forums can and will have lasting effects on your ENTIRE EA ACCOUNT. 

If you get banned from being an idiot on these forums, you will lose every EA DLC you've ever downloaded and be locked from any save-file or profile that is tied to your banned EA account.

YOU SIGNED AND AGREED TO SUCH THINGS, so don't say you weren't warned or didn't know.  Only you are responsible for your own ignorace.

Never been banned from a video game. I've been banned from a site or two but only for a few days and because some so called "friends" of mine knew my password and started hating on some of their haters. Yeah... I'll never tell anyone my password even if it was a whole year without internet.
