Would other female aliens hate the asari?

Except you don't see any ! That's the joke, that all the visable girlfriends and wives are strictly asari. The males haven't been replaced in the same way, that's the why its "would other female aliens hate the asari" because no MALE  has a partner that isn't asari (except from that turian/quarian couple).  If there weren't any male aliens apart from the odd quarian dude and  every female alien in the game had an asari wife or girlfriend then yes I'm sure the male aliens would be pissy about their replacement Posted Image. The topic isn't "females don't date asari" its just noticing that asari are default partners for MALE aliens.

Being able to have sex with both genders isn't a male quality. Asari are an all-female race; Bioware tries to call them 'asexual' (dudes that's not even what asexual means, what are you doing), but the damn Codex calls them female. If you want the biological justification, they're female because they gestate and carry young.


Well, they reproduce asexually, maybe that's what they meant. And in ME1 when you talk to Liara she does say that strictly speaking they don't consider themselves female. I think bioware tries to leave it somewhat vague intentionally.

Well, there are a LOT of little touches in ME2 that have no plot or character relevance and exist only to further illustrate the world. Drinking in places, for example. That turian barkeep on the Citadel has a unique drink-mixing animation that appears nowhere else. Matriarch Athetya needs two sets of face textures for the before-and-after 'beer goggles' joke. You can stop and overhear a dozen little conversations that do nothing but add depth to various alien races.

Hell, even background NPCs have unique poses; you see a few other NPC couples standing like this, but it's not something you ever see close-up in a cutscene, or that Shepard ever does.

With them spending time and money on all these little touches to make aliens more realistic and relatable, it's bizarre that an entire gender is completely left out.

They wrote some lore to cover their asses on krogans and salarians, but there's no reason for turian women not to be in ME2.

Anyway, humanity's youth culture would probably elevate the asari to god-hood. Perfect bodies, stay young for centuries, and sexual promiscuity would take Earth by storm!

This actually sort of makes sense, seeing as Asari melding is a completely unique experience to their race and is supposed to bring pleasure in a new way on top of the normal form...

I see this potential explanation a lot, but the devs have said that we haven't met any turian females since they haven't had time/money to make the model. So yeah.

I think the turian women will be way better than those silly asari so they have no reason to be jelaous.

But the human race will sadly not have much of a chance against the asari. Sad but true.
